The Gran Turismo 7 Online Time Trial returns with a fresh and exciting challenge. This time, drivers head to Daytona International Speedway Road Course in the United States, driving a Gr.1 car. The event runs from January 15th, 2026 through January 29th, 2026.
Daytona International Speedway Road Course measures 5.7 km, features 12 corners, and includes 8 meters of elevation change. It is a GT7 classic that blends high speed oval sections with a technical infield layout.
This is a fairly unusual time trial, one we have not really seen before. On top of that, the car selection is also quite interesting. We are using the Genesis X VGT Concept Car, which is a pretty unusual car to see on this track. Overall, I expect the gaps between the top 10, and possibly even the top 20 drivers, to be extremely small. We are running a very fast car on a track where it is difficult to find any significant time gains. Adding to that challenge, the event uses Racing Soft tires, which further complicates consistency and precision. Despite all of this, it is a very interesting combination, and I would love to hear your thoughts on it.
This event follows the Watkins Glen International Long Course time trial in the Lexus LC500 ’17, which runs until January 22nd. While this new challenge is quite different, it still offers a demanding and engaging experience.
