How DG-EDGE is funded
Leaderboards on DG-EDGE stay free for everyone. To pay for the site, the data and the team, Digit Racing EDGE (EDGE) earns money from:
- Advertising: banners we sell directly to brands, and ads served through our advertising partner Ezoic, which can include Google ads;
- Affiliate links and discount codes: we may earn a commission when you buy something after clicking one of our links or using one of our codes;
- Sponsorships: brands can sponsor events, competitions, leaderboards or streams;
- Premium, the Gran Turismo Masterclass and Coaching, which you pay for directly.
Sponsorships count as advertising. We do not have a separate team selling ad space.
None of this decides what we write. The rest of this page explains how we keep it that way and how you can tell what is paid.
Our editorial independence
- Advertisers and affiliate partners do not ask us to write about their products, and we do not accept requests to.
- We do not accept money, products or any other benefit in exchange for a favourable or unfavourable review.
- Neither advertising nor affiliate income, nor any marketing or public relations firm for video games, sim racing hardware or esports, has any say over our editorial content.
- Advertisers do not see articles or reviews before they are published, and cannot change them afterwards.
Affiliate links and discount codes
Some links on DG-EDGE, mostly in banners, go to partner shops. Many come with a discount code. When you use them, you get the discount and we may receive a commission. The price you pay is never higher because you used our link.

The partner shops set the terms of each discount.
- Partner links may pass through a short link (bit.ly) or the partner's tracking link (for example fanatec.sjv.io), so that the partner can see the sale came from us. Once you are on the partner's site, its own privacy and cookie policy applies. Fanatec links go through the Impact network (fanatec.sjv.io); GT Omega links go through bit.ly to GT Omega with Refersion affiliate parameters.
- We only promote products we would recommend to our own community. A product being a partner does not make it better in our reviews.
Ads, and how Premium removes them
Visitors who are not Premium members see:
- Our own banners, which we sell directly or use to promote partner offers and our own products, such as the Masterclass or the Showroom. Each one carries a Remove ads link.
- Ads served by Ezoic and its partners, including Google, but only if you accept marketing cookies in the cookie banner. Without that consent, the Ezoic script is not loaded.
Premium removes them: no banners and no Google ads, on every page. The Ezoic script is never loaded for Premium members. Payment pages never show banners to anyone.
Counting how often a banner is seen and clicked is done on our own servers with simple totals per banner. It does not identify you.

Sponsored content and how it is labelled
Brands can work with us on banners, branded content, sponsored community events, competitions and giveaways, leaderboard sponsorships and placements on player profiles, and on our YouTube streams.
Whenever a brand pays us, or gives us something of value, for a piece of content, we label it:

Ads and sponsored content are always labelled as ads.
Reviews
- We review hardware and games because our community asks about them, not because a brand pays us to.
- Some products are lent or given to us by the manufacturer. When that happens, the review says so.
- We review products from brands we have an affiliate or sponsorship deal with, including Fanatec. When a review is about a partner's product, we say so at the top.
- The verdict is ours. Partners do not see it before publication and cannot change it.
- Prices and availability change. A review reflects the product as we tested it, on the date shown.
This policy covers dg-edge.com only. It does not cover the Digit Racing YouTube channel or our social media accounts.
Corrections
We try to get things right. When we get something wrong, we fix it.
- Tell us at digit@dg-edge.com, with a link to the page and what is wrong.
- We check it, usually within a few working days.
- If the mistake is minor (a typo, a broken link), we correct it without a note.
- If the mistake changes the meaning (a wrong spec, price, result or verdict), we correct it and add a note at the end of the article with the date and what changed.
Leaderboards and player data come from the public Gran Turismo 7 rankings on gran-turismo.com. We can fix how we show them, but not the source. The Legal notice and trademarks lists where our data comes from.
