Gran Turismo is back with another time trial challenge, this time at Red Bull Ring with the Mazda RX-VISION ’15. The event runs from February 5th to February 19th, giving you the usual two weeks to compete.
Overall, this is a very interesting challenge because we have not seen this car in a time trial or race for quite a long time. You can expect it to be fairly demanding to drive, and the lap times are already quite competitive. Right now, a 1:32.5 is needed for the world record, but we are confident that this will change as the event progresses. Looking at the current pace, a 1:35.000 should be enough to secure gold and earn those two million credits.
As with every time trial event, you can compete for the top prizes. If you manage to place in the top three percent, the reward is two million in game credits. This makes it a demanding combination overall, but regardless, it should be a fun and rewarding challenge to drive.
We will be running Sports Medium tires, which adds another layer of difficulty. Finding grip around this track will be a bit more challenging than usual. Sports tires do offer solid feedback, but they are not quite at the level of racing tires. Even so, it feels like a well balanced and enjoyable challenge.
