Gran Turismo 7 has just dropped a major surprise that no one saw coming. A brand-new paid DLC called the Power Pack is set to launch on December 4, 2025, exclusively for PlayStation®5. This new content promises to significantly expand the game, focusing on real-world racing experiences and authentic motorsport scenarios.
The Power Pack introduces 50 new races spread across six unique themes, with a strong emphasis on endurance racing, including full 24-hour events. It goes beyond just adding races by simulating an entire race weekend. Players will now be able to participate in practice sessions, qualifying rounds, and then head into the main event, just like in real-life motorsport. This means no more starting from the back and having to sprint through the field. Instead, you'll have time to study the track, analyze your rivals during practice, fight for a proper grid position in qualifying, and then battle it out in a full-length race.
The DLC also features intense racing against Gran Turismo Sophy 3.0, the game’s advanced AI, offering more challenging and realistic competition. To help players hit the ground running, the Power Pack includes 5,000,000 in-game credits, making it easier to buy cars and upgrades needed for the new events.
From early reports, it looks like the Power Pack will be accessed via the sailboat icon located at the bottom left of the main menu on the World Map. The content appears to expand GT7’s career mode with a focus on real-life inspired racing events. Some of the scenarios teased include throwbacks to Group C endurance racing, classic Group 3 battles at the Nürburgring, 90s Civic one-make races, and Japan’s GT500 series from the same decade. These events are designed to capture the spirit and drama of their real-world counterparts while leveraging GT7’s detailed driving physics and presentation.
Pricing for the Power Pack hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it will be offered as part of the “Power Pack + Platinum” bundle, which includes the 5,000,000 credits. For now, the Power Pack is set to arrive only on Gran Turismo 7 for PlayStation®5, adding a serious dose of realism and depth to the game’s already impressive racing experience.
