It has now been confirmed that the bumper Gran Turismo 7 Spec III update will arrive in the first week of December, exactly as many had suspected. We had inferred a December 4 release from details shared during the GTWS Los Angeles event, including the timing of the Polestar 5 Time Trial Challenge and the launch of the game’s first paid DLC, the Power Pack, on that same date.

This confirmation followed a teaser image posted by Series Producer Kazunori Yamauchi, showing eight covered cars with the caption, “The GT7 Spec III update is coming next week.” When the update was first revealed in September, it was already known that eight cars would be included, although only four had been confirmed. Two more were announced during the GT World Series event in Los Angeles. The final two appear to have been hinted at in the teaser image. The full list is expected to include:
• Ferrari 296 GT3 Gr.3
• Ferrari 296 GTB
• Fiat Panda, first generation
• Gran Turismo F3500 B
• Mine’s Skyline R34 GT R V spec N1
• Mitsubishi FTO Version R Aero Series
• Polestar 5
• Renault Espace F1
Gran Turismo 7 Spec III release date
The anticipated release date for the Spec III update and the Power Pack DLC is Thursday, 4 December 2025.
Alongside the eight new cars, the update will add two circuits, Yas Marina Circuit and Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Players can also expect several quality of life improvements, including changes to car purchase invites, refreshed weekly challenges, and an increased collector level. A data logger and upgrades to online racing features are also planned.
In addition to the free Spec III content, the optional Power Pack DLC will offer about fifty single player events featuring GT Sophy 3.0, with some races lasting up to twenty four hours.
