The Gran Turismo World Series will return for its seventh season in 2026, kicking off earlier than ever with a debut stop in Abu Dhabi. The opening round is set for 28th March, marking the series’ first visit to the UAE.
Announced during the 2025 World Finals in Fukuoka, the news follows the recent addition of Yas Marina Circuit to Gran Turismo 7 in the Spec III update. The in-game qualifying is expected to begin in January, ahead of a full calendar of live events and the World Finals.
His Excellency Saeed Ali Obaid Al Fazari, Executive Director of Strategy Affairs at the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, shared his enthusiasm at the finals:
“Hosting the Gran Turismo World Series marks a major step for esports and motorsport in Abu Dhabi.”
With the emirate’s growing investment in competitive gaming, the event will showcase its ambition to become a global esports and motorsport hub.
Tickets are now on sale, as of 20th December 2026.
