Suzuka in Gr.3 is a proper combination. The figure-eight legend is one of the finest circuits in the game, and GT3 machinery suits it beautifully. It's also a welcome return to an open category after a run of one-makes, so there's a genuine car choice to make for once. The leaderboard times already suggest this one is going to separate the patient drivers from the rest.

Gr.3 at Suzuka: What to Expect

The current world-best is sitting at 1:58.938, which is seriously committed pace around a lap with this many technical sequences. Based on how Polyphony usually sets the cut-offs, expect the gold target to land somewhere around the 2:02.0 to 2:02.3 range.

Suzuka is all about rhythm. The opening Esses are where the lap is genuinely won or lost, because getting the first turn-in right sets up the entire sequence, and getting it wrong compounds through every corner that follows. Degner and the hairpin demand patience, Spoon rewards a smooth, committed entry, and then 130R asks whether you really trust the car. On Racing Mediums in Gr.3 the grip is there, but these cars still punish anyone who overdrives the entries.

It's also worth remembering that update 1.71 brought significant changes to tyre behaviour, steering geometry and throttle response. If you've driven Suzuka in Gr.3 before, your reference points may be slightly off, so give yourself a session to recalibrate before you start chasing tenths in earnest.

Final Thoughts

Gr.3 at Suzuka looks like a proper grinder, fast, technical, and unforgiving in the wrong places. It's one of the best circuit and category pairings in the game, and having a genuine car choice back in play makes it more interesting again after the recent run of one-makes. The 1:58.938 already on the board is strong, and I'd expect it to drop as drivers settle into the new physics.

Let us know what you think about this combination. It looks like it could be a very interesting one.
