The new Gran Turismo 7 Online Time Trial goes live on 9 July 2026 and runs for the usual two weeks, ending on 23 July 2026. This round is a one-make, the McLaren 650S Gr.4 on Racing Hard tyres around Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, and the early pace is already brutal.

If you've been grinding the last few Time Trials, Spa will feel familiar. It's one of the great circuits in the game, all fast straights, dramatic elevation, and iconic corners, and the leaderboard times already suggest this one is going to separate the patient drivers from the rest.

McLaren 650S Gr.4 at Spa: What to Expect

The current world-best is sitting at 2:30.572, which is committed pace around a 7 km lap with this much elevation change. Based on how Polyphony usually sets the cut-offs, I'd expect the gold target to land somewhere in the 2:34.6 to 2:35.0 range.

Here's the thing about this combo: it's a one-make, so there's no car choice to chase. Everyone's in the McLaren 650S Gr.4, which makes the whole Time Trial about driving rather than meta-hunting. The 650S is a mid-engined Gr.4 car, so it's well balanced and rotates nicely, but on Racing Hards the grip window is narrower than you might expect, and a 7 km lap gives you a lot of corners to get wrong.

Final Thoughts

The McLaren 650S Gr.4 at Spa looks like a proper grinder, fast, technical, and unforgiving in the wrong places. Being a one-make makes it a pure test of driving, which is always a nice change from chasing the Gr.4 meta. The 2:30.572 already on the board is strong, and I'd expect the WR to drop into the low 2:30s or high 2:29s by the end of week one.

Let us know what you think about this combination. It looks like it could be a very interesting one.
