Xiaomi has revealed its first Vision Gran Turismo concept at Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, where a full-scale model is on display through March 5th.
The all-electric two-seater was presented alongside other Xiaomi products including a phone, smartwatch, and tablet. It follows the SU7 Ultra's addition to Gran Turismo 7 in January, making Xiaomi the first Chinese brand and first technology company to join the Vision Gran Turismo project. The company becomes the 36th brand and creator of the 51st concept in the franchise's history.
Designed around aerodynamics, the Vision GT uses an active underfloor to channel air to a large rear diffuser, and an Active Wake Control System at the rear, a matrix of micro-perforations that actively redirects turbulent airflow to improve top speed. Xiaomi reports a drag coefficient of 0.29 and a downforce-to-drag ratio of 4.1:1, comparable to Le Mans Hypercar-class competitors. The wheel wells feature a turbine-style design with a magnetically stabilized cover that remains stationary while driving, reducing drag while cooling the brakes.
Inside, the cocoon-shaped cabin seats two in sculpted fabric seats rather than traditional racing buckets. Gran Turismo producer Kazunori Yamauchi, who personally invited Xiaomi to the project at last year's GT World Series in London, said he was "truly amazed" by how the company resolved the tension between low drag and high downforce.
The car runs Xiaomi's HyperOS and integrates with the company's broader ecosystem of smart devices.
Full production is considered unlikely, but Xiaomi has confirmed the Vision GT will appear in Gran Turismo 7 at a date yet to be announced.
