GT Sport Event Race Regulations - Mandatory Tyres

Clarification / Question

In GT7 Sport Mode, are mandatory dry tyres still enforced even in fully wet or changing-weather races?

This point matters because the incident occurred in a lobby, and it’s unclear whether Sport Mode applies the same rule.

In a Gran Turismo 7 Manufacturers Cup race, the event regulations required Racing Soft and Racing Medium tyres as mandatory compounds. The race took place entirely in wet conditions, and the driver completed all laps on rain tyres.

After the finish, GT7 issued a 60-second penalty for “Required Tyres Not Used.” This raises the question of whether GT7 always enforces mandatory dry tyre usage in Sport Mode events, even when a race remains fully wet from start to finish, and whether this behaviour is intentional.
