I recommend setting counter steering assistance to “Strong.” It makes the car more stable and can help you stay in control when things get hectic.

Your advice just helped me.

If we could get some clean racing in it would be so much fun. But it's not been all bad! I tried the counter steer at strong and it seems to slow me down so I've turned it off but set my steering sensitivity to 6 (G-29). Seems faster and not as quick to get away from you.

Somehow I haven't had an issue with clean racing, but like you said it is a very fun and competitive race resulting in very close finishes if you get the right lobby.

I'm hoping in one of these updates they will address the penalty system. They have spend countless hours on making it the most beautiful"Simulator" there is but the penalties are way, way bad I can't tell you how many times I've been hit then hit someone else they go of track and I get a 2-4.5 second penalty. Then the penalties for hitting another car are weird sometimes yes and sometimes no. Nobody is ever black flagged or given a pit stop penalty so they go on to podium or win and you got dead last from hitting the wall and given penalties for it. The point system is also so messed up NASA can't figure it out. 3 podiums can be erased with one last place finish. I get frustrated when I make it to C or whatever then get spun or wrecked and I'm back to D. Also why is it this amazing program will still take points DR and SR if you are disconnected. The racing is fun no doubt but when dirty drivers wreck you and PSN won't do anything to them it makes the game worth about 1/4 of what it cost. If you don't have Internet or PSN it's not worth a 10th of what you paid it's just a disk. If they want to be taken seriously as a "simulator" they need to address these issues and maybe do a pro edition the opposite of what IRacing is doing and creating an Arcadish version for child-young teens to crash out everyone without penalty. Iracing and ACC have bans from competing why doesn't GT7?
