I got this course late last year and thought it was exceptional.  It was divided up into sections that made sense - cohesive modules on braking, acceleration, tires, etc.  He really took his time to get the pacing correct.

I took my time with it, and went through it like an actual class, doing the sections patiently, in order, and putting in the practice time like homework.  It built a great foundation and things started to "click".  I finally understood _how_ to control acceleration and power oversteer in a way that I didn't need to use TCS, thanks to the explanation of weight transfer.

At the end there were some challenges to do, and I was stuck on one (I believe it was Sector 1 of Nords) and then I found all the help I needed on the discord section.  Having that resource has been a real game-changer for guys like me who don't have unlimited hours to practice all the time.

The course has since been updated into even better categories, and has new content added.  I haven't had a chance to check out all the new sections yet but the bonus modules I've seen have been great.  So glad I found this and that it's still being updated.

As a big fan of the MasterClass platform, I frequently recommend it to my friends. The course effectively consolidates essential learning materials, presenting them in a streamlined and accessible manner. This is particularly valuable for new drivers. Despite having a lot of prior experience with various learning resources, including numerous books and videos, I continue to find the MasterClass content highly beneficial. Thanks for putting it together!

I started my sim racing journey about 3-4 months ago and, at first, I thought sim racing was just purely arcade-style and a mere "power through every corner, forget about brakes and turns"...I shortly realised there was a lot more theory and physics behind it!

I embarked on a journey to discover and understand what it takes to become a fast and consistent driver, and whilst there's a lot of good content out there in the form of blogs, YouTube videos and other methods, I wanted something more structured and with a good sequence and progression behind it.

That's when I found the Masterclass and I can honestly say it was a great investment (and very accessible too!). Digit's format of condensing the theory behind driving - car positioning, cornering, braking and trail braking, weight transfer, and other concepts - and delivering it in a clear and digestible way with examples and options to practice, not only unlock much more consistency and faster lap times, but it also allows you to pinpoint the areas where you can improve your time and your driving style much easier.

I would definitely encourage anyone that wants to become a faster and better driver to enroll in the masterclass and I can vouch that the improvements will come very quickly!

First off, thank you for putting this masterclass together. It’s one of the most practical and actionable GT7 resources I’ve come across.

What worked well:

  • The structured breakdown of braking, throttle, and line discipline was incredibly helpful and comprehensive. Introducing advanced ideas early on was a smart way to build context for the lessons.
  • Your explanations of why certain techniques matter (not just how to do them) really clicked for me — like why it’s critical to carry speed through a turn or how the friction circle applies. The way these concepts were introduced organically and then reinforced as the lessons progressed made them much easier to grasp.
  • The emphasis on using telemetry, ghosts, and pro-player replays as tools for learning braking points, acceleration markers, and track nuances was extremely practical.
  • Having an engaged teacher makes a huge difference. The feedback I received on my submitted laps felt personalized, and the discussion threads and Discord community have been consistently supportive and encouraging.

Areas for improvement:

  • I know there are lessons still in the works, but I'm looking forward to the deep dive into Types of Braking. For example, incorporating a segment on engine braking would round out that topic.
  • More drills or exercises could help reinforce key concepts in a structured way.

What I’d love to see more of:

  • Deep dives into racecraft and strategy. Handling pressure in close races, deciding when to defend or attack, and building consistency over multi-lap runs. Something similar in tone to Luc’s Racing IQ/Racecraft series could be a really nice addition.
  • “Live lap analysis” videos where you break down student laps, or even a recorded excerpt from a coaching session (with the student’s consent, of course), would be a fantastic way to see principles applied in real scenarios.

Impact on my driving:

  • I didn’t have the confidence to race in Sport Mode before taking this course, but now I feel much more assured on track. I’m working on improving my DR, knowing that consistency will come with practice. I’ve also started to better sense grip changes and adjust in real time, which is helping me make smarter decisions and put together cleaner, faster laps.
  • I can identify areas of improvement in my own replays; I'm more dialed in on the nuances. Even in the moment when I think, "Yes, I can brake later." Or, if I turn it in late, I'll know to address that on the next lap. Having the knowledge is empowering.

Overall, this course has been a game-changer for my sim-racing journey, and I’m excited to see how you continue to evolve and expand it. Thank you again for sharing your expertise and making the learning process so engaging.

I am a senior Adult male. Never played video games with a controller or sim racing until I retired. Started playing GT7 at my son recommendation. Saw you on YouTube and was impressed by your sim racing success and your content. I wanted to learn more about how to get faster and consistent at racing. I decided to enroll in your Masterclass course. I am so happy I enrolled!!@ As a retired college professor, you nailed it. Your course is actually designed for starters to advance sim racers. And, I like the fact that you can move at your own pace. Very important. With limited experience, I am finishing in the middle of the pack in my racing league. This is a high level racing league based out of England. I am now racing with both knowledge and consistency. I need more training on cornering, both entering and exiting. I can follow your race guides but, the faster drivers have mastered the corners. Hopefully, you can add an advance course targeting cornering. That would help us to get a lower lap time. That and private lessons is what I believe would help me get faster. Financially, I can afford the lessons,  but feel like you younger guys wouldn't have the patience unless I was younger.  Really hope this review will help. Continued success and thanks for being there for all of us sim racers. Count on me to ride this journey with you into the future.

I am a casual, albeit someone who has taken more of a serious role in the space. I was initially skepitcal on the course however based on the feedback from a peer who took it, I decided to jump in. Skeptical in that can this really work, or is it more beneficial just to keep putting down laps.

It really is beneficial. I like how the content format/layout changed recently. It would be a bit nicer if there was some sort of playlist that allows us to move forward/back through the lessons easier. This would be particularily beneficial when casting to a larger screen

I love that you can move at your own pace. It is the summer, and I have not been nearly as active now versus the cooler months. I will go back through the course before I get back into the competitive space. I also love that you as a person are real - You engage with us on stream, You educate on activities and you demonstrate the Masterclass for us to see. A true 'streamer' for the people. I've met alot of super people on stream, added them to my leaderboard and together we have improved off eachother. One of these days I will make a special event and race with you!

I would echo the previous user suggestion with an advanced course on cornering; I would love to see a more in depth, technical course on braking (How, technique on pedal) When I use tools like Delta to compare to your laps, my time lost is often in late/harder braking. When I go earlier, I stay slower. Finding that sweet spot would amazing for me.

When it came to my driving - I focus more on TTs. Before Edge I was a general bronze driver in the 4.5 range. I quickly moved into silver, and now 2.3-2.7% gold without having to do 15 laps, or 10 restarts. It has placed massive confidence in me - Attack mode 100%

Hi

I'm taking it easy. Just became a B driver  (B-S). So now I will go deeper into the course.

Looking forward to the serious stuff :-)

Thanx

Hello, I purchased the course about a year ago and I must say it has completely changed my approach to the game. I've started to understand certain mechanics, such as slow entry, quick exit, and trailbreaking. I no longer struggle with the car. I like that it's relatively simple and everything is clearly explained. Unfortunately, the course is just theory and a roadmap showing the direction I should go. Nothing replaces practice, and you really need a lot of it. No course can replace practice, and that's exactly what I miss in this course: more practical advice with examples. Overall, the course is great and allowed me to understand that at a certain skill level, I'm racing against my own limitations, not my opponents. This allowed me to enjoy racing without getting frustrated with others.

When I first started taking sim racing seriously and online racing my score was 85.79 with delta at 3.49%. 1 digit masterclass and 30 events later I’ve improved hugely! It's been 3 months and I am now at a 90.93 with a delta of 2.02% and an A driver. ! My global ranking went from 25k to now 6k. Also watching all the streams has been such a help. I’m now ranking in the top 1k in qualifying times the last few events. I did some upgrades to my g923 to fix brake and throttle to my liking. Thank you so much for all the help! I’m still improving every week! I want to be in the top 500 on qually times. Hoping to get some coaching from you guys soon when I have the extra money. Thanks again!! Love this community!
