Overview
The Ferrari 499P was Ferrari’s Le Mans Hypercar (LMH) challenger, developed to compete at the highest level of modern endurance racing. Powered by an advanced hybrid all-wheel-drive system, it combined a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine with a front-mounted motor generator unit (MGU), delivering a combined output of 500 kW. During the 2024 season, the second year of the LMH and LMDh era, the 499P demonstrated impressive pace, locking out the front three positions in qualifying at Imola. The highlight of the campaign came at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where the 499P secured Ferrari’s second consecutive overall victory, successfully defending the historic win achieved the year before.
