The new Gran Turismo 7 Online Time Trial goes live on 30 April 2026 and runs for the usual two weeks, ending on 14 May 2026. This round takes us to Trial Mountain Circuit Reverse in Gr.3 on Racing Hard tyres, and the early pace is already brutal. If you've been grinding the last few Time Trials, Trial Mountain will feel familiar. It's been showing up a lot lately. But swapping road cars out for full-on Gr.3 machinery changes the entire character of the lap, and the leaderboard times suggest this one is going to separate the patient drivers from the rest.

Trial Mountain Reverse in Gr.3: What to Expect
The current world-best time on the leaderboard is already sitting at 1:51.035, which is seriously quick for a circuit with this much elevation change and as many committed corners as Trial Mountain Reverse throws at you. Based on how Polyphony usually sets the cut-offs, I'd expect the gold target to land somewhere in the low 1:53s, possibly 1:53.0 to 1:53.5.
Here's the thing about Gr.3 on this combo: gold is usually a touch more achievable in Gr.3 than in road-car Time Trials, mostly because the cars are more forgiving on entry and the racing tyres give you a bigger window to work with. But "more achievable" doesn't mean easy. Trial Mountain Reverse punishes sloppy lines through the fast sweepers, and the tunnel exit and the final chicane are where most of the time gets lost.
Patience is the word here. You're going to want to put in plenty of laps, accept that you'll bin a few attempts on the kerbs, and slowly chip away at the deltas.
Best Gr.3 Cars for Trial Mountain Reverse
I'll update this once the meta settles, but historically on Trial Mountain Reverse the usual suspects float to the top, the Porsche 911 RSR, the McLaren 650S Gr.3, and the Mercedes-AMG GT3 tend to feature heavily on Gr.3 leaderboards here. Worth checking the top 10 ghost replays once a few hundred entries are in.
Final Thoughts
Trial Mountain Reverse in Gr.3 looks like a proper grinder, fast, technical, and unforgiving in the wrong places. The 1:51 already on the board is a strong opening pace, and I'd be surprised if we don't see it pushed into the high 1:50s by the end of week one.
Let us know what you think about this combination. It looks like it could be a very interesting one.
