Gran Turismo 7 update 1.62 arrived on August 28, 2025, adding four new cars including the Renault Avantime, Afeela 1, and Chevrolet Corvette CX Concepts, plus new races, Café Menu, and Scapes. Polyphony Digital has officially detailed Gran Turismo 7’s August 2025 update, version 1.62. Scheduled for release on Thursday, August 28, the update arrived during the usual server maintenance window from 0600 to 0800 UTC. During this period, the game had been offline before players can access the new content.
This marks the fourth consecutive monthly update for GT7, the longest streak since early 2024. If the cadence continues into September, it would equal the five-month run seen last year, with the highly anticipated Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo rumored for a post-GT World Series update.
Four New Cars
Update 1.62 introduces four new additions to the car roster, ranging from quirky classics to futuristic concepts:
• 2002 Renault Avantime 3.0 V6 24V
• 2026 Afeela 1
• 2025 Chevrolet Corvette CX Concept
• 2025 Chevrolet Corvette CX.R Vision Gran Turismo Concept
The most surprising addition is the Renault Avantime, a unique mix of people carrier and coupe that last appeared in Gran Turismo 6. Known for its bold but divisive styling, the Avantime returns in its more powerful 3.0 V6 form.
The Afeela 1, developed under the Sony Honda Mobility partnership, makes its debut as a production-ready EV following the previously featured prototype.
Rounding out the lineup are two concept cars from Chevrolet: the Corvette CX Concept, a road-going preview of the next-generation C9 featuring four electric motors producing over 2,000 horsepower, and the CX.R Vision Gran Turismo Concept, a hybrid track-focused variant that combines those electric motors with a twin-turbo V8.
And on top of that, the latest update also brings a brand-new time trial event, which you can check out right here.
