The new Gran Turismo 7 Online Time Trial goes live on 4 June 2026 and runs for the usual two weeks, ending on 18 June 2026. This round is a one-make, the Toyota 86 GRMN '16 on Comfort Medium tyres around Deep Forest Raceway Reverse, and the early pace is already brutal.
Deep Forest in reverse is a properly different challenge from the regular layout. The flow is completely different, the braking points are alien, and pairing it with a road car on Comfort Mediums takes things down to pure driving.
What to Expect
The current world-best is sitting at 1:50.310, which is committed pace for a circuit with this much elevation. I'd expect the gold target to land somewhere in the 1:53.2 to 1:53.5 range.
It's a one-make, so there's no car choice, everyone's in the Toyota 86 GRMN. Comfort Mediums mean the grip window is narrow, and the 86 will let go of the rear if you're impatient with throttle.
Final Thoughts
Deep Forest Reverse in the Toyota 86 GRMN looks like a proper grinder, fast, technical, and unforgiving in the wrong places. Being a one-make on Comfort Mediums makes it a pure test of driving. The 1:50.310 already on the board is strong, and I'd expect the WR to drop into the high 1:49s by the end of week one.
Let us know what you think about this combination. It looks like it could be a very interesting one.
