Hard tyres and cloudy weather? That's the pd I know
Agreed, hard tyres make me not want to do this race :(
A little suggestion to PD: When coming up with a daily, make sure don't choose one with both mandatory hard tyres and ridiculous wall penalties.
Penalties are very inconsistent
Well that race is absolutely shi.
But I will set a time anyway.
genuine chaos this race
Can someone please help -- what is the trick to getting through the downhill section quickly? I set gold-sector times in the circuit experience everywhere else but for the life of me cannot figure out how to go downhill. Literally i'm barely achieveing bronze. 🙃
Coast? too slow. Throttle? too slow and into the walls. Brakes? too slow. I'm so frustrated!

What usually helps me when doing mount panorama is to break in 'chunks' going downhill. So break, then release a bit and turn then break hard again, then turn into that right hander. You want to ride/straightline the long curb that curves left whilst breaking over it, to allow you to slow down enough for the next right turn. I would recommend you try that because it did help me, although I needed a lot of practice to get used to doing that (and I never really ever was very fast there, but I could at least keep up with others). It should make it more consistent once you get used to it :)

Also this isn't the absolute quickest way to do it, I'm sure the pros can do it a lot faster using a different technique, but braking in 'chunks' will help with consistency, and you can control your speed a lot better than braking in one go. It is fast enough to keep up with even A+ drivers, so should be good enough :)

I'm not an expert by any means but don't brake until you are almost under the bridge and only while wheels are in line...then coast to the first right turn, big boot full of gas to the floor and then immediately off...turn really tight into the left and nail it....get another gear almost immediately and then just a small lift for the last right.
if I'm wrong tell it to the barriers🤣

Depends where, but when you start going downhill, trough first 3 corner you need to be quite fast, not loose too much speed, then quite heavy breaking to stop the car and have good line for next corner
Thank you so much YT Seba 13y old Bignige Raiidiot_0196 😁 I'm going to keep working on it! Really appreciate the help!!
If you want to murder your SR, this is the race for you!!
I actually love this track and have had a lot of very clean racing so far this week.
I did spend ages getting a decent quali lap in the low 16's so at least starting near the front.
This is definitely a track where discretion is the better part of valour.

No problem

I normally cannot stand this track in gr4 lobbies woth RS. However I actually prefer this track tyre combo; if find the tyres being less sticky really helps with turn in through the downhill section. Im using the maz3

Did it help? I just realised I wasn't very clear on which corners I was talking about... I was talking about the first 3 going downhill from the top of the mountain, before the 'dipper' (I think it's called. It's the left hander that has a big drop). Hopefully you are faster but more importantly more consistent ;)
Like it, great track, perfect for Gr. 4 cars as of low speed and more corner passing skill

Im using the FF mazda3 so might not apply to the meta cars:
Stay left on approach, lift off at brow of the hill, as soon as it dips turn in slightly right and take first section as straight as you can using as much curb as possible whilst braking HARD down to 2nd gear. On approach to the second tighter section leave as much room as you can on the right and use some slight trial braking through the tight right and the 1st half of the tight left; as soon as you start to rotate left lift off for a split second which will help turn in through the dip then hammer it again.
Best track ever.

Hi, the downhill section is all about precision. Precision with everything is key. How I approach it is like this, when you pass under the sign at the start of the downhill section I turn, brake in a straight line and drop down a gear (should say here if you don't already you have to use manual gears to control the car), then come off the brakes you do the little left kink and then brake hard in a straight line again and drop down a gear. Then trail brake around the right hand turn hugging the wall and get ready for an early turn into the next left, this is crucial to be able to get full on the power all the way down to the left hand hairpin before the straight. When you get down to the hairpin keep as close to the wall on the right as you can and again brake in a straight line hard and gear down as fast as you can. I turn into the hairpin late but you can get on the power earlier than you think which then gives you a boost all the way down the straight. The exit of the hairpin is far more important than the entrance, you want to prioritise the exit. I hope that helps. While the race is running study a replay from one of the top times that always helps a lot.
Gr4 cars on this track suck
Thanks Len Ferguson and everybody, seriously!!!!! I've found over 1.3s in that sector by fixing my line, oh my gosh. I was nowhere near the left curbing and obvi was scrubbing way too much speed as the right was too tight. I still need to work on smoothing out my brake but I'm finally finding control downhill. It feels amazing.
Also, I'm learning how to follow more closely down the hill 😄 How'm I doin'? (I'm so stoked with my progress this week)

Surprisingly clean racing for what is, in most parts, a goat track!
I get huge penalties downhill. Like 3.5 seconds and I can't figure what is happening. I am not hitting others. So bad when it happens twice in a race. I'll take it slower but can't understand.
