Sicuramente un bel circuito ma la scelta delle gr4 proprio no,peccato c'è chi sperava in GR2 come a Catalunia, settimana daily deludente sotto ogni aspetto.

It actually wasn't daily B since early 2025, but it feels as if it is only a few weeks ago. I think they should limit the car choices, just ban the AWD cars or only allow FR, something like that.

I love Gr.4 RBR with BoP on so much that I wish I could race it for the rest of my life. I bought a PS4 and a sim rig in 2020 and I have never played a Gran Turismo game before Sport. Whenever I look at the old Gran Turismo games I see they have stinky slow road cars which turn me off. I wish Gran Turismo would get rid of all those road cars and tuning and only ever add Gr.4 and Gr.3 cars. Tuning scares me because I don't know what all the scary numbers mean so I only ever race with BoP on. Everyone should only ever race Gr.4 and Gr.3 cars with BoP on because that is the only real way to race. If anyone tries to challenge me on this I will harass them in private messages. I am 49 years old.

i thought it was a nice challenge when PD forced a FR-only race at Circuit de Sainte-Croix a few months ago. made a lot of us choose a car we ordinarily wouldn't prefer - but isn't that the point? get outside your comfort zone and further enhance your driving skillset? i'd like to see them do more of that (occasionally!)

Yeah, that's way easier on a level playing field. I'm often like, "oh no, not the usual metas", trying a different car I fancy but am 0,5s off the pace and get chewed up in the races. Then I hop into the 992 or G70 and my first or second lap is already faster than after 15+ minutes in the non-meta.

As much as I would want to grind it out, the metas are not necessarily unfairly unbalanced, the G70 and 992 aren't the nicest handling cars, but their drivetrain layouts allow to fire out of corners where turbocharged FRs like the M6 would kick out its tail and that is faster for most players on medium level, that's why they are meta most of the time. There are indeed other examples like the Viper's straightline speed giving you an unfair advantage, but meta is mostly about how easy the average player can extract laptime, and everybody's fighting for laptime.

I like the Supra, but it absolutely gets murdered by the AWDs on RBR, so nobody uses them: FR-only races or at least a selection of unused and similar cars would definitely mix that up.

This Daily Race at the Red Bull Ring with the Gr.4 Mazda Atenza—which isn't exactly one of my favorites—isn't bad at all. A qualifying time of 1:37.079 after just a few laps shows good promise

I know i'm not the norm, but I just drive the car I like, the car that I feel I can confidently drive well. It's rarely the meta b/c I hate that Porsche and I don't do well in FR cars in general, but there are always exceptions. I probably won't drive the Atenza or the G70 because I'm so bad in them, its embarassing 😖  I am also not skilled enough to win every race and I don't expect to finish in the points every race, so I don't even care if the car I'm using isn't advantaged, I just like to race, and using a "slow car" makes me drive that much more consistently and cleaner - to extract everything I can out of it 🙃

Achieving "A" level DR isn't a realistic goal for me, so I am not too worried about having to get good at handling the usual metas, kind-of a nice perk of being casually competitive, I'm not boxed into using the same car as everyone to capture every 100th of a second possible.
