This guide covers Fanatec wheel settings for the 2026 season and is specifically intended for the Fanatec ClubSport DD+. It focuses on optimizing key parameters such as SEN, FFB, NDP, and FEI to help you achieve better control, consistency, and overall driving performance.
All examples and recommendations are based on the ClubSport DD Plus wheelbase. If you are using a different Fanatec wheelbase, these settings should be treated as a starting point and adjusted to suit your hardware and driving style.
Explanations of Fanatec Wheelbase Settings
Sensitivity (SEN): Sensitivity controls the relationship between your physical steering wheel rotation and the in game wheel rotation. Aim to match the maximum rotation of the car in game, for example around 540 degrees, with your physical wheel. While this can be adjusted manually, using AUTO is generally recommended, as it provides the most natural and realistic steering response.
Force Feedback (FFB): Force Feedback simulates the resistance and forces you would feel when driving a real car. It is adjustable from 0 to 100 percent and should be tailored to your personal driving style. A good starting point is 100 percent, after which you can reduce it to a level that feels comfortable and controllable over longer sessions.
FULLFORCE, Force Feedback 2.0 for Direct Drive: FullForce is Fanatec’s next generation force feedback technology designed specifically for direct drive wheelbases. It delivers high frequency vibrations and detailed feedback that communicate road texture, engine vibrations, and subtle surface changes. This results in a more immersive driving experience, allowing you to feel finer details that are not present with traditional force feedback alone.
Natural Damper (NDP): Natural Damper controls the amount of damping applied to the steering. Values range from OFF to 100 percent. Higher settings increase resistance while steering, which reduces sensitivity and helps calm unwanted wheel movement. Lower settings result in a freer, more reactive steering feel.
Natural Friction (NFR): Natural Friction adds mechanical resistance to the steering, simulating the natural friction found in real steering systems. It can help reduce oscillations, especially in cars without power steering, but higher values will make the wheel feel heavier when turning.
Natural Inertia (NIN): Natural Inertia increases the perceived weight of the steering axis. This is particularly useful for lighter wheels, such as the P1 or McLaren GT3, as it helps the wheel feel more substantial. Compared to Natural Friction, inertia feels smoother during direction changes, even though the two settings work independently.
Force Feedback Interpolation (INT): Interpolation smooths out rough or uneven force feedback signals from the game. Setting INT to OFF provides the rawest feedback possible, while increasing it from 1 to 20 progressively smooths the forces and improves overall refinement. Higher values can reduce harshness but may slightly soften detail.
Force Effect Intensity (FEI): FEI adjusts how sharp or soft the force feedback effects feel. Higher values soften the impact of sudden forces, making the feedback less aggressive. Lower values make effects sharper and more immediate. Adjust this to match how much bite you want from curbs, impacts, and surface changes.
Force (FOR): Force controls the overall directional force sent to the wheel. It is generally best left at 100 percent, as fine tuning should be done using the in game force feedback settings and the other wheelbase parameters.
Spring (SPR): Spring causes the wheel to return to its center position. In Gran Turismo 7, this setting has very little effect and can usually be left at its default value.
Damper (DPR): Damper adds additional friction and weight to the steering feel. While it can slightly increase the sense of mass, high values are not recommended. DPR works independently from Natural Damper and has limited impact in Gran Turismo 7, so keeping it low is generally the best option.
