GT7 Online Time Trials: Two Combos This Fortnight, Including the World Series Replica (6 August 2026)

We've got two Gran Turismo 7 Online Time Trials this fortnight, both going live on 6 August 2026 and running for the usual two weeks, ending on 20 August 2026.

The reason for the double-header is the Gran Turismo World Series. Round 2 takes place in Tokyo and streams live on 15 August 2026 from Polyphony's Tokyo studio, so this round's headline Time Trial is a replica of the exact combination the world's best drivers will be racing. Alongside it, there's the usual Time Trial to grind. Here's everything you need on both.

Time Trial 1: Red Bull X2019 at Deep Forest Reverse (World Series Replica)

This is the special one. It's a World Series replica, using the same combination being run at Round 2 of the 2026 Gran Turismo World Series in Tokyo. So it's not just another lap time challenge, it's your chance to run the exact combo the pros will race on 15 August, and a proper warm-up if you want to follow the event with some first-hand feel for it.

The combo is the Red Bull X2019 Competition on Racing Soft tyres around Deep Forest Raceway Reverse.

The current world-best is sitting at 1:07.548, which is blistering, because the X2019 is one of the fastest cars in the entire game. It's the hypothetical F1-style prototype with monstrous downforce and a top speed that turns Deep Forest into a blur. In reverse, the layout flips your braking instincts, and at these speeds that matters even more. Based on how Polyphony usually sets the cut-offs, I'd expect the gold target to land somewhere in the 1:09.1 to 1:09.4 range.

Time Trial 2: Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe at the Daytona Road Course

The usual Time Trial this fortnight is a classic bit of Americana: the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe '64 on Sports Soft tyres around the Daytona International Speedway Road Course.

The current world-best is sitting at 1:51.153, committed pace around this mixed banking-and-infield layout. I'd expect the gold target to land somewhere in the 1:53.9 to 1:54.2 range. The Cobra is a classic front-engined racer with a lot of power and period handling, so it's a real handful, especially through the infield where you're managing weight transfer and a lively rear.

Final Thoughts

A great fortnight for Time Trial fans, with two very different challenges. The Red Bull X2019 at Deep Forest Reverse is the headline, one of the fastest cars in the game at a classic circuit run backwards, and the fact that it's the Tokyo World Series combo makes it well worth your time. The Shelby Cobra at Daytona is the more laid-back grind, a lovely bit of classic Americana mixing banking and infield.
