Well real world BOP sets a 0.500sec variable not 1.5sec when I see average B rank drivers within 1 sec of the top time that screams broken Bop and ridiculously easy meta car to drive at the limit. A lot like the WRX at redbull or the viper and sardegna or the GT40 at deep forest. The car has and advantage that requires minimal skill to gain said advantage. Good track but the BMW takes the bus stop WAY too easy.

Basically a normal week for the Porsche, but of course now it's a problem, I opened the comments just to see your weekly bs, absolutely satisfied

Your actually delusional. Wake up to the fact you actually think the Porsche is some sort of meta car just says everything about your skill level. Your a fast driver in a low rank, racing other amateurs. put in a real time with the Porsche you fairy it's not meta it never has been it never will be. Just because it's a popular car and 90% of B dr and bellow use it and that is the vast majority of players you think it's meta we're the usage number is only a reflection of the Average skilled player. Get in the top tiers and see how "META"the Porsche really is. You will see just how weak it truly is and how it takes actual car control to even compete. I see your comments also and there assumptions based on little knowledge. What you FEEL and what is FACT are two completely separate things. I get it, your time this week is one of the better one you have gotten so you want to justify it by throwing shade on another car. But when I see your times in the META Porsche there average to say the least. Honestly you remind me a fly. Annoying and your smartass comments only get you caught in a web of facts were you get consumed by a smarter opponent. It's nice to know you spend your time and energy just on me each week. I'll make sure to leave a tantalising post each week now. 😘

Wait hold up there, If you'r saying basically that the New Gr3 Porsche aint a "Meta", then why i see that you have used it here at Watkins Glen, Kyoto driving park, Laguna seca, Trial Mountain and at Circuit gilles Villeneuve? Do you realize that you also use that Same car you Are talking that aint a "META"?
As for Mattylatvala, If he's that low in rank, then that doesn't mean that he has to use the car that is dominating the leaderboards.
Do you think that, Everyone should know in every combination, what's the most dominant car at that track? I myself didn't know until i discovered a section called "Global Leaderboards"
I'd reccomend for someone racing in those lobbies for the race to use the car they are most Comfortable with, and is also appearing on the leaderboards.
It isn't always the car what's fast, its the driver who's driving it.
(No Offense, just sharing my thoughts)

Mate, appreciate you're (perhaps justifiably) annoyed by this, but just breath a little. Nobody here is going to tell you what you want to hear, if anything they'll just want to argue with you about it.
Related, I've been racing in high B / low A lobbies this week and it's a mixed field from what I can see - R8's, M4's, 992's, GT-R's, AMG's, even a few Mazda concepts.
Would appreciate some advice from some skilled drivers here - I've qualified top 30 in Australia in the R8 (I can't make the M4 work for me) so I've been starting top 3 all day, but I pretty much bottle it every time on the last lap - suspect a mix of nerves and pressure. I generally have pretty good race IQ (can always be better). I’m sure it’s the pressure. Does this shit pass or what??

Oh please read that back to yourself and see if any of it make sense. I use the porsche because I like Porsche's i always have. I don't swap and change each week like a little sheep putting in unrealistic times in comparison to my actual skill level because of a specific cars advantage at that track. I make it work. And put in top times and win with it regardless of how well it performs for the average driver, who gives up or doesn't try because they just want the EASIEST car to be quick in. LAZY! I continually see people attack the new Porsche like its some super quick car. It has the worst acceleration out of any car in the Gr3 category it's unable to drive over any bump, it's top speed is low. It's used by lower ranked Dr drivers and is therefore seen a lot in the average players lobbies because of the amount of B Dr drivers and lower this is creating a false illusion that it's a strong car by the masses. Find me one week were the META has been the Porsche and you have such a large number of B Dr drivers in the top 1000. You won't because to drive actually drive it consistently fast requires a level of skill that as demonstrated in other weeks Is not required for other cars that people rely on top end speed (Viper/GT40) or unrealistic acceleration (WRX/Lancer, Beetle) to call the Porsche over powered or a meta car just highlights how little people understand the game.
Its a game lads. Get over yourselves
I cannot for the life of me find a car that works for me here. I'm horrible in the M6 and keep oversteering almost everything else I've tried to drive. 😖 I had a lot of confidence in the gr4 race a while back, this is frustrating.
Also... WHAT THE F* IS THIS PIT LANE?! 🤬

Try the R8. It doesn't quite have the turn in that the M6 has, but you can generally manage that with braking. It's great out of the corners, and pretty stable at the bus stop. I am about .500 of a second faster in the R8 here. First time I've properly enjoyed it.
I feel the frustration - nothing worse than leading the whole race and then dying on the last lap. Has genuinely happened to me about 6 times today.
Great track! Really like the big tyre difference this week. Makes strategy interesting!
Great race!

Living vicariously through a game has its moments, but let's face it, the vast majority of us won't even come close to actually racing for a team. This game is about having fun whilst trying to be the best you can.

I get what you’re saying now, and I respect that you stick with the Porsche because you genuinely enjoy driving it instead of chasing whatever’s strongest each week. That’s fair.
I think where we disagree is mostly on what ‘meta’ means. A car doesn’t have to dominate every top split to still be considered very strong or commonly favored for certain tracks/combinations. The Porsche clearly works well in the hands of good drivers, including yours, otherwise we wouldn’t keep seeing competitive times with it.
I also agree that driver skill matters more than just picking the ‘best’ car. A comfortable driver in a car they understand will usually outperform someone constantly switching cars chasing an advantage.
At the end of the day we probably just value different things: you prioritize consistency and mastering one car, while others look more at leaderboard trends and track-specific advantages. Nothing wrong with either approach.
Really just read an arguement on if the 911 is meta or not. Simply put the 911 for GR.3 is turning into what the citreon is for GR.4

Your Wrong, not eveyone playing GT7 is pushing DR ranks in Daily races. So the system is not broken. Some players just like to push lap times without worry about improving there DR because of the mess in the daily races it self. Get of your high horse and sit down please.
Which car do you believe has the best acceleration in group 3 and which car also do you think can handle the bumps best

Did I really just read that garbage. "these players are just pushing for lap times and not DR". 🤔 Not that I even mentioned chasing Dr in the first place but I'll address what you think. If these B DR drivers just chase lap times I would see them high up in the leaderboards each week. I don't. I'll say it again. You ONLY see the AVERAGE B Dr drivers that hold a B dr because there not consistently quick each week, high on the leaderboards on weeks were one car is a clear META car for the track that takes the least amount of car control to be quick in. I'll stay up here thanks looking down on all the sheep in there pen. I'll just point out that I only run on statistics and logic. Arguments thrown at me with how you feel, don't win. I can run all the data comparing all the cars and how well they do each week against drivers weekly consistency and show you I 100% correct. But if you want to argue feelings find fairy tail game to argue over.

The Viper has the best acceleration in Gr3 statistically. And the GTR is the best for stability over curbs.

Thank you!! Oh gosh this car feels so much better, and I ran a new PB in a test-race which kinda surprised me. Really appreciate the suggestion.
I understand the backlash. Those that choose the meta car each week are naturally defensive of their times and want to believe it's their skill that got them there. That's a completely understandable reaction. But the reality is, filter any leaderboard by car and your position tells a very different story to the one the overall ranking does.
As for the Porsche, BoP data isn't opinion. Under current BoP the Viper runs 11.06s to 400m. The Porsche 992 runs 12.50s. The 991 runs 12.62s. Both Porsches are dead last in Gr.3 acceleration 52nd and 51st out of 52 cars. And both extremely unpredictable over curbs. Mid speed tracks are where it car hold up but still looses out when time is made from the ability to ride over curbs like most cars without loosing considerable time crash. A 1:43.500 in the car best suited to the track and a 1:44.000 in a car that's statistically the slowest and harder to control in the class are not the same achievement.
And here's the question nobody wants to answer, is changing to the meta car each week actually making you a better driver? Is your times a true representation of your car control? You're learning a new car every 7 days, never developing a deep understanding of any of them, and relying on the BoP advantage to produce lap times your driving alone can't. The drivers who commit to one car learn its limits intimately, develop technique that transfers across every track and car, and know exactly what's them and what's the car. Can everyone swapping to the meta each week say the same?

You're not learnign a new car every 7 days though. It's not like there is a brand new car every single week of the year. It rotates, most drivers are likely gettig a chance in the same car multiple times per year.
I'd also put forward the argument that a more well rounded driver is able to be succesful in more than just one car every week.
