I had ten races there today, five on each account. Only TWO of them were okay-ish, the others all ended in disaster. In one of them I made unforced mistakes, but the other seven races were just... unbelievable, when it comes to driving standards. I'm...

Totally agree I love this track also and I don't have any assists on, but to be honest the driving standards this week has been pretty bad, I did manage to have a few good races but few and far in between, if I make a mistake and someone suffers I wait up but I have been punted left right and center and no one waits no one cares it's a shame really, I am BS trying to get to AS hopefully driving standards will improve there

i dont like the odds of driving standards getting any better. i raced most of the day today. all my lobbies were mid A DR and B DR in the moring the lobbys even had C dr drivers in them. i did 13-15 races and gained 1046 dr points for winning every single one of those races. i just did my last race then and was taken out because i relaxed and let 2nd and 3rd catch up. not really enough to make a move? well how wrong i was the absolute desperation shown by drivers in this game cost me all 14 positions subsequently finnishing last and loosing every single bit of DR i gained for the day, plus an extra 57. so iv ended up -57 points for my full day of racing. good luck.

Strong gives you both a speed boost on the straight and additional grip while sitting behind the car ahead. It's essentially a tow rope. There's no penalty for being in disturbed air. You go faster AND corner better behind another car. Completely u...

About realism; I can take it or leave it. I mean, I still want it to feel like I'm driving a car, don't get me wrong. But for instance, if cars never flip and roll over in GT7, thats fine by me. If I was into sims to crash cars I'd play BeamNG. When it comes to racing, if the physics feel right when I drive the car "correctly" I'm good. Anyway I'm more into the driver interactions online than nerding out over the physics, graphics or overall car culture.

I'm B/S rated, and I just realised I got it wrong with the DR loss. 1,400 points not in eight reaces, but in five or so, since I did five races on each account, and only one is registered here. This is me: https://www.dg-edge.com/players/TCR_710-C...

i got taken out like so many times and now i'm dr 0 i qualied 2nd

Sorry to hear thar. Try to see the positive side of it: a fresh start, and now you will succeed!

I have hopes that next week's daily C at Tokyo will be in Gr.4, and I'm pretty good at it. Again, no strat plus RH, there might be rain incoming...

It'd be so much better as Gr1. Or grab a book, you're gonna need something to read while gr4 moseys down the straights

I was fighting the F-Type Jag here early on, but got very frustrated. Its such a risk of spin out on RH tires.  I switched ot the Porsche and I can accelerate much earlier and risk of spin goes down to minimal.  Shaved 2 sec of my lap time (1.53)

So as much as I would rather drive the Jag, I gotta go with the crowd unless we get some tire love. See you out there

I'm using the Jag too. It's fun occasionally passing the Porsches at the start because the initial acceleration is so much better. But I too have been caught out by oversteer when I get careless. I just refuse to conform and drive the 911.

On my second account I'm using the Corvette, on my main account the Audi. The Corvette is nice off the line (eh, rolling start) and on the back straight, but it needs a lot of love through the twisty bits. RH make it a bit more ticky, but with a sensitive throttle input and/or short-shifting, all is good. But it costs time. I did not spend much time with the car, since I fell in love with the Audi on the other account. I'm a second quicker in qualy than with the Vette. And I did not spend much time on qualifying.

My rant on Monday was gone on Tuesday. It did really help strating further forward on the grid. Now at the end of the week I might try again, maybe my qualy time is not good for starting in the top 5 anymore....

The Jag, well, I guess it behaves similar to the Vette, the AMG etc? I saw a Mustang and a Viper doing wonderful things, when I was put in an early-morning lobby with A/A+ drivers, and a Vette in a B lobby ran away from my Audi. So, these cars can be quick in the right hands, which I seem to not have...

I do not dislike the new 911, I just don't want to drive the car everyone is using, although I love doing one.makes in the leagues I participate.

Sometimes I wish more of the YT content creators would do an anti-meta series. I could do myself, but who on this planet wants to watch a (pace-less) B-rated driver doing this?
Or the big creators could share videos of them racing road cars in their custom races. And since I race in VR, every 2D-view I see in videos feel somehow like cheating... (NOT pun-intented!).
