I was wondering if anyone knew how to deal with this, as I think it’s not a commonly addressed racecraft issue: Ever since I started doing the online championships (and even in the really competitive daily race lobbies) I’ve had the same issue every time, which is that I cannot follow closely to another car. For example, assume you are in a race where the lobby ends up in a long train of cars - I find these situations so difficult because you are forced to stay so close to the car in front, and everyone has such similar pace. I think it’s an issue with spotting brake markers and reaction time etc, and I’m sure everyone feels more pressure in this sort of situation, but more experienced drivers (like most GT7 YouTubers as an example) are so good at this that if they are following someone of similar pace, they barely slow down. In the online championship races, I feel it’s my big disadvantage compared to the rest of the lobby, even when I have the best pace.
I think it may also be the same issue which makes me tend to not use ghosts in time trial because they distract me too much, but I can’t say this for sure.
If anyone has any advice, please feel free to share it :)
