Just weeks after its surprise reveal, Polyphony Digital has officially unveiled the full details of the Gran Turismo 7 Power Pack, the game’s first ever paid DLC, launching December 4 for $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99.
This premium expansion brings a wealth of new content to the game, including 50 race events, a revamped AI opponent, endurance racing, specially tuned vehicles, and a significant credit bonus. Here’s everything you need to know.
What’s Included in the Power Pack
• 50 new events across 20 race categories
• Sophy 3.0 AI delivering the most realistic opponent behavior to date
• Return of 24-hour endurance races
• Six specially tuned prize cars
• 5,000,000 in-game credits
Unlocking the DLC
The Power Pack is only available to players who have completed Menu Book No. 9: Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade. Once completed, a sailing boat icon will appear on the World Map, granting access to the DLC content.
Race Events and AI Upgrades
The centerpiece of the Power Pack is a set of 50 unique race events, spanning 20 distinct categories, including everything from American Muscle to GT One cars.
Each event replicates a full race weekend, complete with practice and qualifying sessions before the main event. Unlike standard events, these races use preselected cars rather than your personal garage, with different levels of difficulty and rewards based on your vehicle’s PP rating. Picking a lower-PP car earns higher prize money.
The competition ramps up thanks to Sophy 3.0, the latest evolution of Gran Turismo’s AI racer. According to Polyphony, it features the “most authentic AI behavior to date.” To raise the stakes even further, race restarts will be disabled.
24-hour endurance races also make a comeback, although the format details remain under wraps. There's speculation this could signal the return of B-Spec mode, where the AI drives on your behalf in longer races.
Six Specially Tuned Prize Cars
By collecting stars through the new events, players can unlock six exclusive, modified cars that go beyond what’s possible in the base game:
• Ford Mustang 2015 American Racer
• Nissan Skyline GT-R GP-Tuned (KPGC10)
• Porsche 911 Turbo Rally (930)
• Toyota AE86 Levin D-Tuned
• Toyota Supra GT Road Car (JZA80)
• Volkswagen Beetle 1966 Desert Racer
Bonus Credits and More Cars via Spec III
In addition to the DLC content, buyers will receive a one-time bonus of 5,000,000 in-game credits to spend as they see fit.
The Power Pack launches alongside the free Spec III update, which adds eight new vehicles to the game’s lineup:
• Ferrari 296 GT3 Gr.3 (2023)
• Ferrari 296 GTB (2022)
• Fiat Panda 30 CL (1985)
• Gran Turismo F3500-B (fictional F1-style single-seater)
• Mine’s BNR34 GT-R N1 Base (R34)
• Mitsubishi FTO Version R Aero Series (1997)
