Gran Turismo just dropped their latest update, Version 1.61, and we have fresh content from the Polyphony team. We’re talking new cars, new events, updates to the iconic Sophy AI, and even a new Scapes location. There's also a sleek new livery in Brand Central. So let’s take a look at what’s inside and what you can expect from this update.
Only 19 of the 2005 NISMO R34 GT-R Z-tune were ever built by Nissan’s performance division. That’s one Z-tune for roughly every 424 million people on Earth. If you’re lucky enough to own one—congrats. For the rest of us, there’s Update 1.61. Not only can you now get behind the wheel of this legend, but you’ll also find the ’22 Honda N-ONE RS and the ’22 Nissan Qashqai Tekna 190 2WD e-Power included in this free update.
Gran Turismo 7’s Update 1.61 is available now, Wednesday, July 23 at 10:00pm PT / July 24 at 6:00am GMT / 3:00pm JST.
’22 Honda N-ONE RS
Inspired by Honda’s classic N360, the first-gen N-ONE launched in 2012, gaining popularity for its charm and drivability. The second generation debuted in 2020, keeping the fan-favorite design largely intact while updating key details like the grille and bumper.
The RS model, short for Road Sailing—takes the experience further. It combines a turbocharged front-mounted engine with front-wheel drive and a 6-speed manual transmission, making this compact car a real driver’s delight.
’05 NISMO R34 GT-R Z-tune
A true legend. In 2004, to celebrate NISMO’s 20th anniversary, they crafted the ultimate GT-R. Starting with just 20 carefully selected used R34s, they rebuilt each one by hand, integrating top-tier motorsport components.
At its heart: the RB26DETT Kai-Z2 engine, built from the same 2.8L base as the GT500 race car. IHI turbos, titanium exhaust, CFRP reinforcements, SACHS-tuned suspension, and Brembo brakes all come together to create a machine built for power, precision, and rarity.
’22 Nissan Qashqai Tekna 190 2WD e-Power
Nissan’s third-gen Qashqai is a compact SUV with bold styling and advanced hybrid technology. It rides on the CMF-C/D3 platform, offering better handling and comfort. Under the hood is Nissan’s innovative e-Power system, a series hybrid that uses a gas engine to generate electricity for the wheels. It also features the world’s first variable compression ratio engine, helping cut CO₂ emissions while boosting efficiency.
The ‘Tekna’ trim includes premium features like larger wheels, ambient lighting, and a head-up display, all standard.
New Events in World Circuits
Three new events join the rotation:
• Lightweight K-Cup: Nürburgring Nordschleife
• Japanese FF Challenge 450: Alsace – Test Course
• Race of Turbo Sportscars: Fuji International Speedway
Gran Turismo Sophy
