Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.68 introduces three new cars and additional events for players to enjoy. Leading the update is the iconic 1991 Mazda RX-7 Type R, one of the most recognizable sports car designs of the 1990s. Powered by a rotary engine and a sophisticated sequential twin turbo system, the legendary FD3S now joins the game’s ever expanding roster.
Also arriving is a modern restomod interpretation of the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Race Mod. It delivers an impressive 657.8 BHP from a supercharged V8, blending classic muscle with modern performance.
Completing the lineup is the 2021 Renault Captur S Edition TCe 140, a compact crossover that pairs everyday practicality with refined driving dynamics. Update 1.68 also introduces four new events in World Circuits.
1969 Chevrolet Camaro Race-Mod
A modern restomod inspired by the classic Trans-Am era Camaro Z28. Originally developed for the SCCA Trans-Am Series, the Z28 helped define small displacement, high revving American V8 performance.
Gran Turismo’s Race-Mod version reimagines the car with a more aggressive stance, carbon black trim, a wide front bumper, ducktail spoiler, and center exit exhaust. Inside, a race focused cockpit features a roll cage, Alcantara bucket seats, and a sequential shifter. Power comes from a supercharged V8 producing 657.8 BHP.
1991 Mazda ɛ̃fini RX-7 Type R (FD)
Debuting in December 1991, the third generation RX-7 focused on lightweight construction, balance, and performance. Despite its wider body, extensive aluminum components kept weight down to just 1,260 kg.
The updated 13B rotary engine uses a sequential twin turbo system producing 251.5 BHP. Continuous improvements followed throughout its life until production ended in 2002 with the RX-7 Spirit R, closing a 25 year chapter of Mazda rotary sports cars.
2021 Renault Captur S Edition TCe 140
First introduced in 2013, the Renault Captur became a popular compact crossover thanks to its practicality and urban friendly design. The second generation launched in 2019 with improved dynamics, comfort, and Renault’s signature C shaped lighting.
With flexible interior space, modern infotainment, and multiple engine options including hybrid variants, the Captur delivers a balanced mix of efficiency, comfort, and everyday usability.
