Mazda Reveals the RX-Vision GT3 Evo, Coming to Gran Turismo 7 This Year

Mazda has revealed the RX-Vision GT3 Evo, an evolution of one of the most beloved cars in Gran Turismo. The new Gr.3 machine was unveiled in a teaser trailer released on 15 August during Round 2 of the 2026 Gran Turismo World Series, held at Polyphony Digital's Tokyo studio, and it's confirmed to be coming to Gran Turismo 7 later this year.

An Evolution of a Gran Turismo Icon

The RX-Vision GT3 Evo builds on the Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Concept, which first appeared in Gran Turismo Sport back in 2020. That car was later added to Gran Turismo 7 following the game's 2022 launch, and it has represented Mazda in World Series competition for the past six years. The announcement itself was presented at the Tokyo World Series by Shotaro Ryu, a former Mazda driver in the series who is now part of the Mazda Design Modeling Group, and who spoke about how the car has evolved.

When Does It Arrive in GT7?

Mazda has confirmed the RX-Vision GT3 Evo will be added to Gran Turismo 7 later this year, but no exact date has been given yet. There's also no word on specs, performance figures, or how it will slot into the Gr.3 balance of performance, so for now this is a reveal rather than a full spec drop.

Given it was shown at the World Series, it wouldn't be a surprise to see it feature in future competitive events once it lands, though nothing on that front has been confirmed either.
