Polyphony Digital rolled out Update 1.69 for Gran Turismo 7 on April 23, 2026. The headline additions are three new cars spanning thirty years of automotive history, a new rewards mode called Power Pack Challenges, and three fresh events on some well-known circuits. Here's everything coming in the patch.

A Trio of New Cars Crosses the Line

The car roster grows by three this month, and the selection is varied. Leading the pack is the Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau (964) '93, a limited-edition icon that lands in the Legend Cars dealership. Only 86 of these stripped-down, lightweight 911s were ever built, making it one of the rarest air-cooled Porsches around.

Joining it at the opposite end of the spectrum is the Renault Twingo '93, the small French city car that defined a generation of European motoring. It arrives in the Used Cars dealership for players looking for something different from the usual hypercar fare.

Rounding out the trio is the Yangwang U9 '24, a battery-electric supercar from BYD's premium sub-brand. The U9 lands in Brand Central and brings modern EV performance to the lineup. To support its arrival, a new Yangwang Channel and Museum section is being added to Brand Central in the Asia-Pacific (China) region.

Power Pack Challenges: A New Way to Earn

The biggest gameplay addition in 1.69 is Power Pack Challenges, a new mode that rewards players based on how many races they complete within a set period. Rewards rotate weekly, and you can keep tabs on your progress either through the World Map screen or via a new notification panel in the top-right of the Event Select screen.

There's a catch, though: Power Pack Challenges are tied to the Power Pack, a paid add-on that's only available on the PlayStation 5 version of Gran Turismo 7. PS4 owners will sit this one out.

The Power Pack itself also gets some refinements. You can now use cars from your own Garage in Power Pack races, race difficulty has been rebalanced, and the start type has been changed on certain races to mix things up.

Three New World Circuits Events

Three tracks each get a new event in 1.69:

• Autódromo de Interlagos - World Touring Car 900

• Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve - Schwarzwald League

• Yas Marina Circuit - Hypercar Parade

On top of that, the Nürburgring Endurance II layout finally gets its own Circuit Experience, giving players a structured way to learn the sector splits on one of the game's most demanding tracks.

Café Gets a Muscle Car Menu and a Seasonal Twist

Over in the Café, Extra Menu No. 53: "Collection: Muscle Cars" unlocks for players who've reached Collector Level 55. Three of the new cars also trigger fresh dialogue with familiar faces, designer Fabio Filippini speaks about the Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau, while Stella weighs in on the Renault Twingo and the Yangwang U9.

The more interesting addition is the new Seasonal Menu, which lets you collect different cars each season to unlock additional rewards. It becomes accessible after you've cleared Menu Book No. 39 (Championship: World GT Series) and watched the ending, a nice ongoing hook for veteran players who've already wrapped the main campaign.

Ten New Engine Swaps in GT Auto

Engine swap fans have plenty to play with. Ten cars are getting the option at Collector Level 50, including the new Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau and Renault Twingo, alongside the Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce '67, Ford Focus ST '15, Lexus LFA '10, McLaren 650S '14, Renault Kangoo 1.4 '01, Renault Megane R.S. Trophy '11, Renault R4 GTL '85, and Volkswagen Scirocco R '10. The Renault-heavy list suggests Polyphony is leaning into some creative French builds this month.

Fixes, Adjustments, and a New Scapes Curation

On the housekeeping side, the Mazda ɛ̃fini RX-7 Type R (FD) '91 has had its interior and exterior issues sorted, and the NISMO 400R '95 gets exterior fixes plus a corrected initial camera position in the Livery Editor. The power restrictor behaviour has also been retuned for the Chevrolet Corvette CX Concept '25, Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo, and Škoda Vision Gran Turismo, useful news for anyone running BoP-style lobbies with concept cars.

Photographers, meanwhile, get "Move the Camera Up and Down III" as a new featured Scapes Curation. The patch also bundles the usual round of localisation fixes and minor bug squashes.

The Bottom Line

Update 1.69 covers a lot of ground: a desirable Legend Car for collectors, a quirky used-market pick, a flagship EV for the modern crowd, and a new mode for PS5 Power Pack owners. Combine that with three new events, ten engine swaps, and the start of a rotating Seasonal Menu, and there's plenty here to pull lapsed players back into the cockpit when servers go live on April 23.
