Gran Turismo 7 is set to receive a new update next week, and this time it arrives a little earlier than players might expect. Series producer Kazunori Yamauchi confirmed the upcoming patch through his usual social media teaser, hinting at three new cars that will join the game.

Most Gran Turismo 7 updates tend to arrive toward the end of the month. Out of the game’s 35 content updates so far, the vast majority have launched during the final week. While not every month has included an update, only a handful have appeared outside that window. March 2026 looks set to be one of those exceptions.
As usual, Yamauchi’s teaser image only reveals the silhouettes of the new cars, with each one hidden under a cover. The approach has become a familiar part of the update cycle, sparking speculation across the community as players attempt to identify the shapes before the official reveal.
Although the covers hide most of the details, the outlines provide enough clues to make some educated guesses.
The car at the back appears to be a second generation Renault Captur, adding another crossover SUV to the Gran Turismo 7 lineup. The model is built on the Renault–Nissan CMF B platform, the same architecture used by the Renault Clio. It typically features front wheel drive and compact turbocharged engines such as the 1.3 liter TCe unit, making it a practical small crossover rather than a performance focused machine.
On the right side of the teaser image is what clearly looks like an FD generation Mazda RX 7. This iconic Japanese sports car is powered by Mazda’s 13B twin rotor rotary engine, commonly paired with sequential twin turbochargers. The lightweight engine design, combined with a low curb weight and rear wheel drive layout, helped the RX 7 earn a reputation for exceptional balance and sharp handling throughout the 1990s.
The final car appears to be a classic Chevrolet Camaro. Early Camaro models were built on General Motors’ F body platform and usually came equipped with large naturally aspirated V8 engines. These engines produced strong torque and straight line performance, making the Camaro one of the defining cars of the American muscle car era.
For now, the teaser only confirms the arrival of three new cars. Other additions typically included in Gran Turismo 7 updates, such as new races, menu books, engine swaps, paint options, and Scapes locations, will likely be revealed closer to release.
The update is expected to arrive on Thursday, March 12 at around 0900 CET. Since this patch is not arriving in its usual late month window, however, the final timing could still vary slightly. More details should emerge over the coming days as the release approaches.
