Kazunori Yamauchi, creator of the Gran Turismo series, has confirmed that GT7’s next update will arrive next week. As usual, he teased the new content through a shadowy “silhouette” post, inviting fans to guess the upcoming additions. This time, though, the guessing game is a little shorter, two of the four cars have already been revealed.
Update coming next week.

Chevrolet Corvette CX Concept
Unveiled earlier this summer, the CX Concept is GM’s vision for the Corvette’s future. With a mid-engined layout reminiscent of the current C8, it ditches a traditional engine for four in-wheel electric motors, combining to produce a staggering 2,000hp. Active aero and ground effect fans add to its futuristic appeal.
Chevrolet Corvette CX.R Vision Gran Turismo
The second confirmed vehicle is the CX.R Vision GT, the latest in the Vision Gran Turismo lineup and the first to be added to the game this year. It shares the CX’s canopy design and overall shape but swaps the all-electric drivetrain for a hybrid setup. Power comes from a 2-liter V8 paired with two front axle motors and a third motor in the gearbox, also delivering a total of 2,000hp.
The CX is a sleek, all-electric road concept. The CX.R is its race-focused sibling with a V8 hybrid system. Both offer a bold glimpse at what a future Corvette could become. Even though the exact lineup hasn't been officially confirmed, we can reasonably speculate that the remaining two additions will be vehicles previously showcased in earlier live presentations by Polyphony Digital.
Renault Avantime
A bold but ill-fated experiment from the early 2000s, the Avantime attempted to merge a coupe with a people carrier. With two doors, four seats, and a tall, awkward stance, it didn’t catch on. Power came from either a 3-liter V6 or a smaller 2-liter turbo engine. A cult classic or a cautionary tale, depending on your view.
Afeela Sedan
This one’s still a bit of a mystery. It closely resembles the Afeela, an electric sedan developed by Honda and Sony in collaboration with Polyphony Digital, that’s already in the game in prototype form. If this silhouette is indeed the Afeela, it likely represents the final production-spec version.
What’s Not Included
Despite recent announcements, the Xiaomi SU7 and Opel Corsa Vision Gran Turismo aren’t part of this update. The Opel is expected to arrive in September. This new update continues to push GT7’s car list forward with a mix of bold concepts, experimental oddities, and electric innovation.
