This week brings three new combinations in Gran Turismo 7 for Week 27 of 2026. We're heading to Autopolis International Racing Course (Shortcut Course), Mount Panorama Circuit, and Deep Forest Raceway. It's a properly varied set this week. A hot hatch one-make at Autopolis, a Gr.4 sprint over the mountain at Bathurst, and a proper Gr.3 endurance run at Deep Forest with tyre choice and heavy wear in play. Three completely different challenges.
Daily Race A: Autopolis Shortcut Course in the Toyota GR Yaris RZ
Autopolis Shortcut Course in Japan is the short layout, around 3.0 km with 11 corners. It's a compact, technical circuit that rewards rhythm, and on the shortcut layout every corner comes at you quickly.
The Toyota GR Yaris RZ "High Performance" '20 on Sports Hards for 8 laps is a one-make, so there's no car choice, everyone's in the same hot hatch and the whole race comes down to driving. The GR Yaris is all-wheel drive and properly grippy, so it's forgiving on entry but rewards a smooth, committed style. Sports Hards keep the grip window narrow enough that over-driving will cost you, especially on a short technical lap where mistakes repeat eight times over.
Daily Race B: Mount Panorama Circuit in Gr.4
Mount Panorama (Bathurst) in Australia spans 6.21 km with 23 corners. It's one of the great circuits in the world, a fast, dangerous ribbon over the mountain with walls everywhere and almost no room for error through the top section.
Gr.4 on Racing Hards for 5 laps is the bread-and-butter Daily B format. No pit stops, manageable wear, and a category that rewards clean racing. Bathurst is the story here. The run across the top of the mountain through the Esses and over Skyline is genuinely intimidating, with walls waiting for the slightest mistake. One brush with the barrier through there and your race is gone.
Daily Race C: Deep Forest Raceway in Gr.3
Deep Forest Raceway spans 4.25 km with 18 corners. It's a fast, flowing GT7 classic with elevation changes, tunnels, and committed corners that reward a brave, smooth driver.
Gr.3 for 16 laps with a choice of Racing Mediums or Racing Softs, ×2 fuel, ×5 tyre wear, and no mandatory pit stop. This is the strategy race of the week, and the tyre choice is the heart of it. Do you start on the faster Racing Softs and accept they'll fall off harder under ×5 wear, or run the Mediums for a more stable stint? With no forced pit, you can try to run a longer stint distance on softs, but ×5 wear over 16 laps makes that a serious ask.
Final Thoughts
A nicely balanced week. The GR Yaris one-make at Autopolis will reward smooth, committed driving, the Gr.4 sprint over Bathurst will reward nerve and wall-avoidance, and the Deep Forest Gr.3 race will reward proper tyre and fuel strategy.
The Deep Forest race is the one we'd circle this week. 16 laps of Gr.3 with a tyre choice and ×5 wear is a proper strategic test, and the soft-versus-medium decision makes it a really satisfying race when you get it right.
Let us know what you think about this combination. It looks like it could be a very interesting one.
