This week brings three new combinations in Gran Turismo 7 for Week 43 of 2026. We're heading to Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, Autódromo de Interlagos, and Suzuka Circuit. It's the first full week of Dailies since Spec IV Part 1 landed on Thursday 15 October, so two of the three races run on new BoP and new default setups.
What Spec IV Part 1 changed for racers
Update 1.72 adjusted the default suspension and differential settings for every Gr.1 to Gr.4 car and put new limits on ballast. Polyphony doesn't say which way any car moved. The BoP moved too, and our BoP database lists 1.72 revisions for every class from Gr.1 to Gr.B. We cover Gr.3 and Gr.2 below.
Daily Race A: Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in the Enzo Ferrari '02
Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in Canada spans 4.36 km with 14 corners and just 5 m of elevation, with a longest straight of 1,173 m. It's a flat lap of hard braking into chicanes and a hairpin, on a circuit famous for the Wall of Champions.
The Enzo Ferrari '02 on Sports Softs for 5 laps is a one-make, so everyone's in the same car and it comes down purely to driving. Our database lists it at 658 hp and 1,255 kg, with a naturally aspirated 5,998 cc V12 mounted in the middle and driving the rear wheels.
Five laps with no stops is a sprint, so qualifying and lap one matter most. On road tyres, 658 hp through the rear wheels makes traction the limit out of the hairpin and every chicane, so be patient with the throttle and short-shift if the rear steps out. Slipstream is set to Simulation, so expect the tow to set up most of the passes. The 1.72 setup changes only cover Gr.1 to Gr.4, so the Enzo is untouched.
Daily Race B: Autódromo de Interlagos in Gr.3
Autódromo de Interlagos in Brazil spans 4.31 km with 15 corners and 43 m of elevation, with a longest straight of 650 m. The lap opens with the downhill Senna S and finishes with a long uphill left onto the pit straight at up to a 10% gradient, so a good exit there carries all the way to the line.
Gr.3 on Racing Hards for 6 laps, standard fuel and wear, and no pit stops. Another sprint, on the least grippy Racing compound. The event settings allow tuning, so check Car Settings before you race on the new defaults.
The last Gr.3 Daily here was Week 24, before both 1.71 and 1.72, and the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) '22 (32.9%) and Audi R8 LMS Evo '19 (24.98%) filled over half the field.
The 1.72 Gr.3 BoP gave the Hyundai Genesis Gr.3 the biggest cut in the class: power down from 483 to 477 hp and weight up from 1,250 to 1,275 kg. The Ferrari 296 GT3 gained 15 kg, while the Porsche and the R8 Evo each lost 5 kg. At the other end, the Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II gained 12 hp and shed 20 kg.
The leaderboards were already showing more variety. On last week's Spa Daily B, 79 of the top 100 times were set after the update went live on Thursday morning. The Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept '18 set the fastest lap, a 2:16.510, and took five of the top ten. Among those post-update times, the Jaguar F-type Gr.3 appeared 24 times and the Supra 19, ahead of the McLaren 650S GT3 '15 with 10, and 14 different cars made the cut. The Supra and the 650S both gained power in 1.72. The Genesis tells the other half: all 15 of its top-100 times were set before the update, and none after it. This week's leaderboard is still empty as we write, so give it a day and check the most-used cars on the event page before you pick.
Daily Race C: Suzuka Circuit in Gr.2
Suzuka Circuit in Japan spans 5.81 km with 20 corners and 40 m of elevation, with a longest straight of 1,200 m. The run from the Esses through Degner, the hairpin, Spoon and 130R rewards rhythm more than late braking.
Gr.2 for 11 laps on Racing Mediums, with ×2 fuel and ×4 tyre wear and one compulsory pit stop. This is the strategy race of the week. With one compound, the question is when to stop. Run a few practice laps to see how fast the Mediums fall away and what a lap costs in fuel, then pick your stop lap.
Gr.2 had a heavy 1.72 BoP pass. The Nissan GT-R NISMO GT500 '16 dropped from 613 to 606 hp and gained 15 kg, the Lexus RC F GT500 '16 dropped from 614 to 602 hp and also gained 15 kg, and the Honda NSX Concept-GT '16 was left alone. On power-to-weight, those three Super GT cars were spread across 20.33 hp per tonne before the update and just 1.35 after. Add the new default setups and this Gr.2 field could be far closer than before.
Final Thoughts
A really nicely balanced week. The Enzo one-make in Canada will reward throttle control on road tyres, the Gr.3 sprint at Interlagos will reward a clean lap one and a car picked on this week's data, and the Gr.2 race at Suzuka will reward the best-timed stop.
Suzuka is the one we'd circle. It's the first Gr.2 race since the BoP pulled the three Super GT cars together, and the compulsory stop gives strategy a real say.
Let us know what you think about this combination. It looks like it could be a very interesting one.
