This time, we're heading to Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit in the GR Corolla MORIZO Edition '22.
The new Gran Turismo 7 Online Time Trial goes live on 1 October 2026 and runs for the usual two weeks, ending on 15 October 2026. This round is a one-make, the GR Corolla MORIZO Edition '22 on Sports Hard tyres around Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit.
Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit in the United Kingdom is about 3.9 km long with 9 corners and 35 m of elevation, and the longest straight is 475 m. It's a compact lap with very little room to recover. The biggest elevation changes come at Pilgrim's Drop and Hawthorn Hill, so the car is rarely sitting on flat ground for long. If you drove the Gr.4 Daily Race C here in Week 38, you already know the lines, although the grip underneath you will feel very different.
GR Corolla MORIZO Edition at Brands Hatch: What to Expect
Gold is set at 1:42.5. The event has only just gone live, so there's no leaderboard to read yet and the world-best will settle over the first few days.
It's a one-make, so there's no car choice to chase. Everyone's in the GR Corolla MORIZO Edition '22, which makes the whole Time Trial about driving rather than meta-hunting. And it's a rare car. Toyota introduced the MORIZO Edition in 2022 as a limited-production, two-seat version of the GR Corolla, with 300 horsepower from a 1.6-litre turbocharged three-cylinder and all-wheel drive through its GR-Four system. It took out about 45 kg compared with the Circuit Edition, rear seats included, and Toyota limited the launch-year run to 200 numbered cars. The name is the alias Akio Toyoda uses when he races.
Sports Hard is the firmest of the three Sports compounds and gives up the most peak grip for it. That matters on a lap this short, where every corner leads straight into the next one. The all-wheel drive should help you put the power down on the way out, but we'd expect the front to push wide if you arrive at Druids or Graham Hill Bend too quickly. Brake in a straight line, let the car settle, and add the throttle once it's pointing where you want to go. Paddock Hill Bend follows the Brabham Straight, and the exit you carry from there sets up the rest of the lap, so it's worth spending your early laps on it.
It's also worth remembering that update 1.71 brought significant changes to tyre behaviour, steering geometry and throttle response. If your last proper run in a road car on Sports tyres was before the update, give yourself a session to recalibrate before you start chasing tenths in earnest.
Final Thoughts
The GR Corolla MORIZO Edition at Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit looks like a proper technical test. It's a short, undulating lap in a light all-wheel-drive hatchback on the firmest road tyre in the Sports range. Gold at 1:42.5 will reward a tidy lap built corner by corner.
Let us know what you think about this combination. It looks like it could be a very interesting one.
