Now waiting for the Corolla one :) was…I liked the course and car selection, but everyone is dropping out of the race, so you are just doing laps. I went from P15 to P6 without passing anyone. I passed one car because they pitted, and I just had a better tempo.
I hear you. I had a race where I messed up my tire selection; for some reason the game didn’t register that I had put intermediates on. I might have made the choice too close to the end of warm-up. Who knows. Anyway, I had to complete the first lap on slicks in one of the only real downpours the game threw at me all week. By the time I had exited the pits with inters I was almost 3 minutes behind…
Just went P16 (unqualified) to P6 in the Hyundai. (B-lobby) Rented. I've never driven this car before.
I can run quali laps in the mid 1:38s in the WRX, Beetle, and the 296, but nothing seems to out accelerate the Genesis. I hate how lopsided BOP is right now. So yeah nah this race would be amazing - - - without the Hyundai.

I wouldn't say so. Maybe it depends on the lobbies are you in. I had three races today with the Vette, and in the B lobbies you can find other cars as well, but not many. Last race I was in there were 13 Genesiseseses out of 16 cars. First race I started almost from the back (P13) without qualifying, finished on P3, then I set a qualy lap, started from P6 and P7, finished on P5 (after I got turned…
A clean run here is very satisfying though, especially when there are pileups in the lobby

Much better than Red Bull to be honest, the latter's layout is lame as hell.

They absolute should fix the penality and contact algo, in a BS lobby a lot of people make classic hit n run at corner. GT7 doesn't add penality if you hit someone during a corner so its easy to make takeovers in this cheating way
Word!!! It's crazy how many times I lost races this week in the last round in the 3rd last corner. My opponents just gave me a push and so my race was done! It looked like the guys were waiting for it. Didn't even try to overtake in an normal way during the race! It's so annoying. Right now I wish I could go back to the high C level racing was much cleaner.

You're not missing anything. Setups used to be part of Daily Races, but they aren't anymore. The setup section is basically just left over from back then. Some people still use setups for their own builds or occasionally for online league racing.
Honestly, can't remember the setup thing, must have been too long ago, started playing online with GTS in 2019. Occasionally I join lobbies that allow tuning, and I enjoy those with limited power, weight, pp, no swaps, etc., all road cars, of course. There are quite a lot for 600pp, 700pp or whatever out there, and it's good to have setups at hand to play with.
