Quick questions about signaling my intentions to other drivers.
I've been getting ready for next week's race C at Catalunya by doing race simulations. I find the pit lane entry tricky while I'm offline by myself, I forsee chaos during races.
Whats the well manered way to cut across the track to reach the pit lane here? I suppose its to use the turn signal, but generaly speaking, how early do you indicate your intention? On the descent towards the chicane? At the top of the hill before the right hander? Or as early as on the uphill segment?
And one more while I'm at it. Using turn signals to indicate to the following cars which side I want them to pass me when I chose to willingly concede position(s)? Am I meant to signal which side of the track I intend to place my car(I signal right & move right so they pass left) or which side I want the other cars to pass me(I signal left & move right so they pass left)?
And before you mention it, I don't expect many drivers in C rank to pay much attention to these things either. I'm nonetheless curious.
