Daily Race Discussion

Well that race is absolutely shi.
But I will set a time anyway.

there are quiet a few cars that are viable, i tried viper, audi, and ford gt and are all viable, for the most part if its gr3 lately its been porsche meta. 

Penalties are very inconsistent 

So long as you keep doing races you enjoy, that's what matters. I liked running this track in manufacturers cup and in lobbies where people just drive whatever they want with a decent fair play standard, but I think it's a rather poor track for weeklies as it always tends to turn into one or two makes even in the race, and the infield is usually a mess lap 1 if you're not top 4 or bottom 4. Only a few tracks truly allow for multiple cars to shine (road atlanta being the best at that, all the modern gt3s are on pace in a race, the meta is quali only). The meta seems interesting enough to me though, so I'll give it a shot. The Suzuki VGT and Ford GT being in the top 10 currently seems odd, maybe some less popular cars can challenge the meta this week.

A little suggestion to PD: When coming up with a daily, make sure don't choose one with both mandatory hard tyres and ridiculous wall penalties.

Honestly its my first time ever with this track in gr3 and daily C so I am very happy i enjoy this track its really popular, these tracks are favorites just in general no matter the combo ppl enjoy even if it may appear stale. I got started in last year spring so i feel it hasnt been around that much, its just the past few months it has popped up a bit but its the first daily which presents a different challenge. 

The complaints mostly come from a fatigue built by that specific combo (and a few other combos) being overused for a long period of time (2024 to early 2025), just filter the dailies by track and look at how this track is one of the few that has 2 pages while other great tracks like ste croix only got used twice. It's also a fairly bland track for racing, since you really only overtake on T1, the hairpin, and the turn before the back straight, the infield only serves to pack cars together, so it gets repetitive faster than, say, dragon trail seaside, which provides great racing but also has multiple overtaking oportunities and a strong identity that causes crashes to anyone pushing a bit too hard. 
Now, even if it's the 4th daily deep forest this year, it's only the second in gr3 and above all the first daily C deep forest in almost a year, so in my opinion, the people complaining are just afraid of that track due to the past, the deep forest every 3 weeks era was just that traumatic. 

i dont get the complains, this is a classic track that makes close racing competitive, its also tehcnical enough that good drivers will shine. The combos have been really nice all year.

On another note, I think for once it's good to have deep forest Gr3 back, it's an overused combo because it's a nice combo, and aside from manufacturers cup we only had it twice this year, with one gr4 race. Polyphony have been doing more varied races since spec III and it's good, but the classics are there for a reason, it's good that they don't let them go away.

Is there any race setup that satisfies you? Is there anything in life preventing you from smiling? Has the ghost of christmas past taken all your whimsy?
Like, genuinely when do you stop complaining on the forums, from checking your forum activity you've been complaining on all but two gr3 races FOR TEN WEEKS (a fifth of the year!!!!) and I didn't even check before week 17! We had great varied races in those ten weeks so I really can't tell what could possibly satisfy you!

One day it's the weather too cold for the tires, another day it's the people saying the porsche being meta on 99% of the races, another day it's a track you don't like, today it's that for once the meta cars are different than usual and reward a different unique driving style to which you can adapt to, and never ever that you maybe are not suited to gt7's daily races, or perhaps that you happiness can be found in another category. Even when you're not on a discussion, you're mentionned as the one guy that keeps making essays to say that the meta car is akshually not meta (last week daily C, banger race btw), surely reading that makes you realise that maybe you might have a *slight* sourness issue?

At this point if gt7's gr3 is not making you happy just get ACC or wait for LMU on consoles and do spa gt3 50 minute sprints all year long, or please just try another category. This week's daily A is a fun road car tailored for rally on a short and fun track for these kind of cars, and you have a gr4 race that kinda sucks because the genesis clears all and the track is very quali oriented, but is kinda cool because mount panorama is always cool. Forget about DR for a moment, and just race for what you like about racing. Just try those, have some fun, regain your lost whimsy, and if that doesn't work, f*** it, join a private league with rulesets that satisfy you better, or join gr3 roulette lobbys.

Awsome its the "i Know how to select the car with the highest acceleration and top speed, hold everyone up in the mid field and kill the flow of the track because i only need to know how to take 2 corners correctly because my cars acceleration and top speed makes up 0.500-0.900 sec of my lap time" track. "Even if i don't start up the front my car can chase down a 1+ sec gap to anyone not using the same car on the straights with slipstream. one of the 3 tracks that showcases just how broken this category is. 

I see the point if you’re doing this for a long time, but as I started in March this year, every single Daily C is new to me (probably to others too).
I’m actually looking forward to a repeated combination, hopefully being more competitive by the start of the week and not just to the end.

Solid race, great fun in the wet which was my weakest, I learnt a lot more on how to manage my grip on the track in the wet and fuel. Hope to see more endurance races like this in the near future.

Fantastic daily unfortunately we will see next one like this on GT8.

Não entendo o porque que a Polyphony não cria lobbys semanais de GT1, 3 e 4 apenas, entendo que tem gente que joga de Kart, mas a maioria que joga nas semanais de kart, é pq não está curtindo o circuito das outras salas.

Im going to say it. that BRZ is a joke. again we have a heap of players (B) & (A) DR that on average are slow as **** drivers with unrealistic qually times starting in A+ lobbies over extending there hand and causing incidents. Im not going to use the Meta (EASY AS PIE) car NEVER WILL, because im not that tryhard that i need to. but ffs all the little wannabes that just hold on because your in the meta cars, add in some slipstream and the idiots think there max verstappen. listen up!!!!! you can't drive your a bunch of one lap wonders with ZERO consistency or race IQ. STOP with the DIVE BOMBS and moves that you seriously dont have the car control to pull off. if you have to dive bomb to get an overtake and use other cars as your only means of staying on the track go play mario kart. honestly. It so painfull to have to race against these brain dead idiots. DAM GOOD track and car combo but these META cars with advantages that make then that strong has to end. im getting tired of these META SHEEP hard blocking when there in front and trying stupid moves that 90% of the time mean i have to back right out or risk getting wiped out. Its always on the opening lap because they start close. lap 2 there inconsistency shines through and there no were to be seen. and im only doing high 1:57s if you have a qually time within 0.500 of mine and cant hold consecutive laps in the 1:57s low 1:58s. stop grinding qually, stop using the META car and stay in your consistency bracket.

Sports mode points system is so dumb. I did 4 races (1 win and 3 P2). I only gained 600 for these... I think they should set minimum DR points reward for each position you finish because I literally just quit doing it in the morning. My plan was to do 4-6 more races but its not worth it. If some idiot takes me out I lose 700 DR at least. If I win I get 200...

I thought they want to lure more people in to do daily races and have more lobbies.

Absolutely insane in reverse. Maybe people are mad because they can't learn it that way hahaha
