I'm finding it way harder to put in consistent laps here than at Bathurst. Before I jump into a race and end up starting at the wrong side of the chicane....anyone got a rough idea where a 19.3 gets you on the grid?
I suppose it will depend on your split, but i'm generally in high B / low A lobbies and my time (18:624) has been placing me anywhere 5th to 9th on the starting grid, mostly behind good Japanese guys. 8th is just after the chicane into the straight if I remember correctly. Â
I suspect that it is like that because Toyota is a Japan car.
Thats a conspiracy theory level claim right there. I dunno, I dont think thats why. I dont even think GR would want for it to be like that. And the same doesnt hold true for the other racing categories, like the R8 is a pretty well rounded beast for Gr. 3

Hey yeah that's me! Nice to see you here! I just put in some more practice and got my qualy down to 1:26.3 then I did a race - started 2nd and finished 4th so things are looking up! One problem I was having was half the people in the previous lobbies…
Personally really like a mix lobby. The dr points gain is significantly higher and you get to test yourself. Ultimately race craft is everything. Â If you stay out of trouble your true pace will shine. Best of luck out there man!!
I'm with ya. I've had the cleanest races here this week then any other daily race I've been in. 2.16's was a good place to start. Picked up 2k dr points this weej.
Finally dragged my way into the 15's which gets me a top five grid slot usually....definitely better to start there than 10th which means you haven't even got round the corner before the lights go green!!!!
