Again, another constant traction battle with the rear end kicking out of every corner even with RM tires on a moderately upgraded RWD street car. There should be zero traction issues at all. I do not understand Polyphany's obsession with feeling like you're driving on ice out of every corner with RWD cars.Β
There's no way a 2400lb car with only 130hp roasts the tires on every corner in real life. The complete lack of exit traction, grip, and constant wheel spin is absurd for this car.
The walls aren't really the problem, though having brake balance on the race car would definitely help with corner entry angle and thus exit angle from this car's understeer. That's too complex for Polyphony to understand. The obvious is never to be expected by them. Sector 1 consistence is the issue because of the weird weight transfer.

I feel that we controller players don't have a top player to learn from and teach us the nuances of how to excel using controller. All of the top streamers and content creators I've seen use the wheel only, aside from Tidgney who only does short lap guides using controller. It is legitimately so difficult to consistently manage traction and trail braking with controller. I really think that's why there are so many crashes and racing incidents aside from the ones caused by very poor visibility from the lack of driving camera angles.

Β Just avoid hitting the walls. Tjen it should be just fineπ Β

Okay so when people are doing well with controllers every thing is good ? When they cant ... everything is not good ? We all pass from controllers .. we all save some money to buy wheel , just to realize no one in real life practise his skills on controller . Even real racing drivers they are on simulators . Thats why the game it call " Real driving simulator "Β

Im not sure why they dont make separate trials/lobbies for pad players and wheel players at this point. It's starting to feel like the game is inaccessible on the pad, and some of us dont have the room nor want to spend $1500+ on a competent wheel/rig setup.Β

This time trial is completely unbalanced and unfair to PAD users. Sure, you can technically drive the car with a controller β just don't expect to be competitive. The Hyundai N 2025 VGT responds so sharply that even with max steering sensitivity, analog stick control feels like using chopsticks to perform surgery. The top-ranked PAD player sits around 246th with a +1.7% delta β which pretty much says it all. The gap in steering precision and speed makes it clear this event was never meant for controller users. Itβs not a competition β itβs an exclusive club for wheel users. The rest of us are just here for the participation trophy.
