No, the World Series does not award points. The reason is simple. Some events have qualifying sessions in variable conditions, such as the Dragon Trail Round 2 of the Manufacturers Cup. Because of this, the playing field can be drastically uneven, making it impossible to draw any reasonable conclusions from the results.

do we gain DG points with our laptime on these officials events? I can't see any gain or loss
