This week brings three new combinations to Gran Turismo 7 for Week 23 of 2026. We're heading to Tokyo Expressway East Clockwise, Yas Marina Circuit, and Fuji International Speedway.

Daily Race A: Tokyo Expressway East Clockwise in the Mercedes-AMG VGT Racing Series

Daily Race A takes place at Tokyo Expressway East Clockwise in the Mercedes-AMG VGT Racing Series. The race is four laps long on Racing Hard tyres, with fuel consumption and tyre wear both set to x1. There are no pit stops required.

Tokyo Expressway East Clockwise features tight 90 degree corners, fast elevated sections, and walls lining almost every part of the circuit. Track limits are not much of a concern here because the barriers will quickly remind you where the edge of the track is.

With only four laps available, qualifying will be incredibly important. Track position is everything on a street circuit this tight, and overtaking opportunities are limited. The AMG VGT rewards confidence and commitment, but it also punishes overdriving. Finding the right balance early could be the difference between fighting for the win and spending the entire race defending.

Daily Race B: Yas Marina Circuit in Gr.3

Daily Race B takes place at Yas Marina Circuit in the Gr.3 category. The race is four laps long on Racing Hard tyres, with fuel consumption and tyre wear both set to x1.

Yas Marina is Abu Dhabi's 5.3 km Grand Prix circuit, featuring 21 corners that range from the fast, sweeping Turn 1 to the tight and technical hotel section. The circuit offers several heavy braking zones, strong overtaking opportunities, and plenty of grip, making it one of the more enjoyable venues for Gr.3 racing.

Since the Racing Hard tyres can comfortably last the entire race distance, pit timing becomes the biggest strategic factor. A clean in-lap and out-lap could gain valuable track position, while even a small mistake can prove costly in such a short event.

Daily Race C: Fuji International Speedway in Gr.2

Daily Race C takes place at Fuji International Speedway in the Gr.2 category. The race is 12 laps long on Racing Medium tyres, with fuel consumption set to x2 and tyre wear set to x6. One mandatory pit stop is required.

Fuji International Speedway is a 4.5 km circuit best known for its incredibly long front straight, heavy braking zone into Turn 1, and technical final sector. Turn 1 is often the scene of first lap incidents as drivers fight for position at the end of the straight, while the final chicane rewards precision and punishes poor exits.

This is undoubtedly the strategy race of the week. Gr.2 cars are among the fastest machines in Gran Turismo 7, and with tyre wear increased to x6, managing your tyres will be just as important as outright pace. The front tyres, in particular, are likely to suffer through Fuji's technical sections, making tyre conservation a key factor over the course of the race.

Pit strategy is expected to be the deciding factor. Most drivers will likely target a stop around laps six or seven, creating a fairly straightforward one stop race. However, the timing of that stop could make a significant difference. Pitting early provides more laps on fresh tyres, while staying out longer may allow you to take advantage of clean air or benefit from traffic affecting your rivals.

Final Thoughts

Week 23 looks like a precision focused challenge from start to finish. The Mercedes-AMG VGT at Tokyo rewards smooth driving and confidence near the walls. Yas Marina introduces a unique sprint race. Fuji rounds out the week with a proper endurance style challenge that puts tyre management, fuel strategy, and racecraft to the test.

Let us know what you think about this week's combinations. It looks like it could be a very interesting and competitive week of racing.
