Laguna Seca on Racing Softs: What to Expect

The combo is set up for fast, clean qualifying-style laps. BoP and tuning are locked, car settings are specified, and Racing Softs give you maximum grip for a single hot lap.

A 1:19.626 around Laguna Seca is properly committed. The Corkscrew is the obvious one, commit to the entry and don't lift halfway through the drop, or you'll arrive at the bottom in the wrong line. Track limits at Turn 5 and Turn 11 are where most laps die, and shortcut penalties invalidate your time rather than just adding seconds. One wide exit and the lap is gone.

In-Game Credit Rewards (Available to Everyone)

This is the real prize for most players. The percentile credit rewards are available to all participants regardless of region. That's up to 2 million credits for landing inside the top 3% over a two-week window.

Real-World Prizes (Eligible Regions Only)

For players in eligible countries, the top of the leaderboard also unlocks proper hardware:

Top 1 wins:

● 1× PlayStation DualSense Edge Wireless Controller ($199.99)

● $100 PlayStation Store Gift Card

● 1× year PlayStation Plus Premium ($159.99)

● 1× PlayStation Portal Remote Player ($199.99)

All eligible participants get: one sweepstakes entry and a limited edition Days of Play Avatar.

Which Countries Are Eligible?

Real-world rewards are only available in these regions:

●Americas (Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC): Canada, United States, Mexico, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Brazil (Brazilian contestants compete on a separate leaderboard within Brazil)

● APAC (Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc.): Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand

● EMEA + ANZ (Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe Limited): Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand

If your country isn't listed, you can still post a time and chase the credit rewards, you just won't be eligible for the hardware sweepstakes.

Contestant Requirements

● Be a legal resident of an eligible country (for hardware prizes only)

● Own a copy of Gran Turismo 7 for PS5

● Own a PS5 connected to high-speed internet

● Have a PS Account in good standing

● Be at least 18 years old (Korea: 19+) to claim hardware prizes

How the Leaderboard Works

Run as many laps as you want during the entry period, only your fastest valid lap counts. Each contestant appears once on the leaderboard, with your best score overwriting previous attempts. All contestants compete globally, except for Brazil, which has its own separate leaderboard.

Final Thoughts

Laguna Seca on Racing Softs is a properly fun combination, and with two weeks on the clock and a 1:19.626 already on the board, the percentile cut-offs are going to be tight. Whether you're chasing a PS Portal or just chasing credits, this one's worth your time.

Let us know what you think about this combination, and good luck if you're chasing the top spot.
