Questa daily serve praticamente per recuperare il DS che i piloti perdono nella daily B e daily C
How regrettable it is that some drivers need PD to offer them an event where DR is not in play in order to consider the other cars around them as they race.
But let me put a positive spin on your post; this week's daily race A serves as an invitation to deepen our knowledge of a beautiful track while exploring the potential of a beautiful car.

I’m not entirely sure what the complaints are about. There are no meta car, no sausages, no shortcuts, no bad car behavior you have to handle. To have a decent lap time, you just have to drive very precisely, knowing the width of your car.
Of course, a pitstop like last week to avoid cars in your way would have been nice, but...
Maybe PD will show why repeating track car combos isn't that bad.

why even bother with this race?! zero penalties for repeatedly bouncing off the walls, so nobody has to do squat to control their cars, just slam and go. this is so incredibly stupid. at what point does driving with all the babysitters on stop being advantageous? cuz i'm about ready to switch back to automatic trans, turn on ASM, countersteer assist, and full TC so i too can never take my foot off the gas. i'm so over this week. NEXT.

Its a start. I think the untouched original layout, pre-chicanification of Ascari was perfect.
i agree but i think the last chicane is really good the first ones not worth it

MHReplying to M Hatch 73·As much as people hate on the A races, I think newbies should be restricted to them until skill levels improve. These combos build skill and introduce drivers to racecraft. Transferring these skills to B & C races only when skill levels are proven wo…
Hai perfettamente ragione queste auto aumentano il grado di preparazione di un pilota di sim racing per quanto riguarda il controllo dell'auto le frenate e l'inserimento nelle curve, è un'ottima prova per migliorare le proprie sensibilità.

I know i'm not the norm, but I just drive the car I like, the car that I feel I can confidently drive well. It's rarely the meta b/c I hate that Porsche and I don't do well in FR cars in general, but there are always exceptions. I probably won't driv…
The more I race sport mode, the more I'm reminded DR isn't a representation of driver's skill, instead its really just an expression of a driver's average results. I believe a smart driver with a thoughtful approach to the game should inevitably rank up given enough time. The unfortunate thing is due to misaligned incentives the ranking system will also promote unskilled and unconciderate drivers. In a perfect world DR would not be viewed as a goal, a reward or a trophy but simply as a means to group drivers of similar skill into the same lobbies to even the playing field.
🤮
KAReplying to Kiwi Antonelli ·Had a good race. Some clean moves around me. Luckily I was spared from the mayhem. However, the race was also boring. And missing the mayhem was by luck only, I'm not going to press my luck.
This. It feels like restrictor plate racing on a road-ish circuit. Results are mostly a lotery as drivers have less influence over the outcome thanks to running in packs with walls all around.
Pro tip people: take the time to pick markers for the two heavy braking events at each end of the track. It'll make the experience alot better for everyone.
I've always loved racing on the Tokyo Expressway tracks in the single player campaign. I've given it a few tries in sport mode this morning and I must say the speeds made possible by the slipstream through the flowing section gave me quite the rush. But I don't think I'll be doing many more race C this week. Although I can see alure of hooking up with a drafting/bumping partner and starting from the back in a concerted effort to see how far up the field its possible to get could be an evening well wasted. A two car team using voice coms would have a big advantage.

This Daily Race at the Red Bull Ring with the Gr.4 Mazda Atenza—which isn't exactly one of my favorites—isn't bad at all. A qualifying time of 1:37.079 after just a few laps shows good promise

Yeah, that's way easier on a level playing field. I'm often like, "oh no, not the usual metas", trying a different car I fancy but am 0,5s off the pace and get chewed up in the races. Then I hop into the 992 or G70 and my first or second lap is alrea…
I know i'm not the norm, but I just drive the car I like, the car that I feel I can confidently drive well. It's rarely the meta b/c I hate that Porsche and I don't do well in FR cars in general, but there are always exceptions. I probably won't drive the Atenza or the G70 because I'm so bad in them, its embarassing 😖 I am also not skilled enough to win every race and I don't expect to finish in the points every race, so I don't even care if the car I'm using isn't advantaged, I just like to race, and using a "slow car" makes me drive that much more consistently and cleaner - to extract everything I can out of it 🙃
Achieving "A" level DR isn't a realistic goal for me, so I am not too worried about having to get good at handling the usual metas, kind-of a nice perk of being casually competitive, I'm not boxed into using the same car as everyone to capture every 100th of a second possible.
