I went and bought a laptop just so I could download and use traces now that I'm using traces my tablet that I had showing my tire temperatures and whatnot Now does not work because traces is running but I click the button that says to allow pass through telemetry and it won't change it changes it to on but then it switches it right back

I've got 'Premium' status from purchasing the course, but it won't let me try traces without an ongoing subscription, is that correct?

Premium and the course are two separate things. The course is a learning module, while access to the app requires a Premium subscription.
So, you currently have access to the course, but not to the app itself.
