Hello all,

I'd like to start the discussion whether or not the usage of Countersteering Assistance (CSA) is "allowed" or not.
For me it feels like cheating using CSA.

But I realized that a lot of gamers especially in lower lobbies (I am B) are using CSA now on Nürburgring Nordschleife.
Last time CSA was heavily used on Nordschleife when we had this 6 laps wet race - and I did as well to try it out and it went out well for me, but I really felt bad after the race using CSA.

The car is much easier to keep on track especially on Nordschleife when there are wet conditions or when we are forced to use such fast cars as GR1 now.
So for lower ranked drivers it is really an alternative to use CSA as in lower lobbies it is most important to keep the car on track.

Some may say: "Why not using CSA when it is offered to be used and not permitted by race preset? If such an Race ESP would exist in reality the drivers would use it, too."
Others may say: "Even when it is not permitted my philosophy of beeing a race car driver is not allowing me to use it."

What is your opinion?
How would you feel if you would be in a race with drivers using CSA and by this having advantage and maybe finally beating you?

This is one driver using CSA in current race C, using the Porsche 962 C and winning the race:

What are most people doing for tire strategy?  I've been starting on the soft tires and running them for 4 laps.  Based on how my last race went, it seemed like a lot of people must have started on the hard compound and ended on soft.

I tried starting on RH however I was constantly being run into/over/through even though I was pulling over to let faster cars pass.  It's been made clear to me that you should do everything possible to seperate from the pack if possible.

Working my way through DR C to B again so, I'm on pole every race. I use RS to get away from the madness, then cruize to a win on RH's. Running RH's first in the top 3-4 is dangerous because  the guys in the middle-back of the pack arent as good/fa…

Maybe this is what I need to try—the same position, working my way through C. I have had pole every time, but starting on hard gets me sent to hell every single time. Typically, I can work my way up to second to sixth, but still frustrating.

I will try starting on softs tonight.

Running RH's first in the top 3-4 is dangerous because  the guys in the middle-back of the pack arent as good/fast as you, but may be on softs, so you run the risk of getting taken out by poor/risky driving. In B, its almost worse than C. DR A, you'll find people using hards first then 4-5 laps on softs

Tire temperature makes a huge difference. To set a lap time, I recommend doing it on the 1st lap. From the 2nd lap, no way to get any faster in the long turns.

Tight, fun racing this week in the low A dr lobbies, lots of mistakes as well, hoping to knock another .2 off my qualifying time by the end of the week 🤞 (01:24.888) currently.

Happy racing everyone!
